January 2014[edit]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Alexander Balfour may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "{}"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • Balfour in his honour. <ref>http://www.edgehill.ac.uk/undergraduate/accommodation/livingoncampus}}</ref>

Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 11:36, 6 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Edits to Edge Hill University and related[edit]

Hi Saraeloisecallan

I see you have added a lot of stuff to Edge Hill University and related articles. Some of this may be valuable, but it is in too much detail. Please see WP:UNIGUIDE for what we are looking for in university-related articles. Are you an employee of the university's marketing department? If so, please consult WP:COI. Basically, you shouldn't be editing on behalf of the university. If there are sections of the article that you think need updating, please drop me a note on my talk page and I'll be happy to discuss that with you. Hi Itsmejudith

Thanks for the help. The information previously available on the Edge Hill University page was very out of date & had little relevance considering the number of developments since 2010, for example the "recent developments" section contained buildings which were built in 2000. The only section I feel needs further updating is possibly a sub-section on The Edge Hill Short Story Prize, which is run by the university and is the only award in the UK to recognise a single, published collection of short stories. It was won by Jeremy Dyson in 2010. [1]Do you feel this would be relevant? Saraeloisecallan (talk) 10:00, 7 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
