I've redirected your carbon air capture page to Carbon capture and storage as it seemed quite redundant. Feel free to edit and improve that page. Cheers, Vsmith (talk) 03:25, 4 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Sam Carana requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Notice

The article Climate Plan has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unremarkable, close connection

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because it appears that you are not here to build an encyclopedia.

Request reason:

Daiyusha, Athaenara, Bbb23 and possibly other Wikipedia admins appear to be engaged in inappropriate attacks and acts of blocking and vandalism, if not slander, by making false accusations of self-promotion, by removing content and by blocking, without even bothering to discuss things, which not only violates the spirit of Wikipedia, it also does great harm to Wikipedia's credibility as a editable source of information, besides showing the character of these persons. If you care for better editing of Wikipedia, do stand up against these persons, Daiyusha and Athaenara and Bbb23, and call for restoration of informative pages. Sam.carana (talk) 01:57, 21 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

This is not an unblock appeal. Please read the guide to appealing a block before posting here again. Making personal attacks against other users, particularly when they have imposed an entirely justified block, is also not going to help your case. Yunshui  08:52, 21 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Yunshui 雲水, a more formal unblock appeal is added below and will be pursued further in court, if necessary. Your suggestion that I was making personal attacks against other users is not helpful. Instead, I am being personally attacked, by people seeking to make it look as if I was a spammer. In court, that is known as slander. I am merely defending myself against these attacks and I seek to ensure that Wikipedia does not allow such attacks to take place. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sam.carana (talkcontribs) 09:19, 21 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Sam.carana: Please see Wikipedia:No legal threats. – Athaenara 09:43, 21 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Slander is a serious issue Athaenara and if persistent slander does take place, the more reason to make efforts to end it. If Wikipedia fails to act upon complaints, court action should follow. In my view, Wikipedia actually does instruct admins to make a serious effort to discuss things and to avoid slanderous actions such as calling someone a spammer. By persisting with such action, you not only cause Wikipedia to become vulnerable to legal action, you actually open yourself to personal action against yourself. Hiding behind Wikipedia guidelines is not an acceptable excuse for behavior that in any court would be identified as slander. Sam.carana (talk) 10:22, 21 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I should add that I am not planning to let you get away with this, and that by keeping me blocked, you are also blocking possibilities for arbitration, which leaves me little or no alternative but to seek legal action in court against Wikipedia for persisting with picturing me as a spammer, as well as against these individuals personally who have engaged in personal attacks against me, i.e. Daiyusha, Athaenara, Bbb23, and possibly by Yunshui 雲水 Sam.carana (talk) 10:38, 21 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

--UTRSBot (talk) 02:44, 21 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is like an open-source Encyclopedia, its not blogspot. Anyone can edit here, provided the information follows certain guidelines. As you mentioned for wikipedia to be a credible source of information, there are guidelines and only reliable sources of information are accepted. You created a page about yourself, then you were warned once by User:CoconutOctopus for promotion, and then you created a page about your blogspot site, That is self promotion even after a warning. Either way, wikipedia has an appeal system, and if you provide a proper reason as to why you should be unblocked, you will be. But the important thing is you should know why were blocked and need to convey in your appeal that you won't repeat it again. Daiyusha (talk) 04:47, 21 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Daiyusha, you say that a page was created about a "blogspot site". That is incorrect. Instead, a page was created about the Climate Plan, not about a blogspot site. A link to a page at the blog was added, not to promote the blog, but since it happens to provide a lot of information on the Climate Plan. If there are genuine concerns about this, then that should have been added in 'talk', so that it could be properly discussed, rather than bluntly removing things. If needed, the respective link could have been removed, but if you had bothered to ask, I can assure you that the blog features no ads (as you can easily see when taking a look) and receives no money (as stated in the about page and unlike Wikipedia, which asks for donations). Your remark that I needed "to convey in your appeal that you won't repeat it again" shows that you're still unwilling to even discuss these things and that you persist with abusing the privileges Wikipedia has granted you. By falsely making it look as if this was spam, you are committing slander and you open both Wikipedia and yourself to litigation, while discrediting Wikipedia's credibility and damaging its ability to to attract and keep contributors. Most importantly, it seems that you are out to block important information about climate issues and that is unforgivable and that does Wikipedia and yourself even more damage Sam.carana (talk) 09:01, 21 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I recommend you read WP:A7 and WP:A11, if the specific pages meet these guidelines, they can be deleted without any discussion, your pages were under this category. But if you insist your page is right, I recommend you create a draft and get it reviewed and accepted, people will suggest you changes to improve it then, but creating a page in the mainspace which clearly qualifies for deletion under CSD, will be deleted. Daiyusha (talk) 09:16, 21 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sure Daiyusha, some pages can and should be deleted without discussion. But in case of an informative page about important ways to take action on climate issues, such a blunt removal doesn't befit someone who has been given administrator privileges. Yes, of course I'm happy to discuss the page, in fact the very reason I started the page is to get it discussed more, and I will thank anyone who can help improve the page. But this persistent and unhelpful removal of a page seeks to picture me as a spammer and this should stop, it's not only unhelpful, it constitutes a personal attack against me and is slander. That is the second time you have suggested that other users of Wikipedia have slandered you. Slander is a legal concept with real-world legal ramifications. Please read No legal threats. Yunshui  10:28, 21 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Block amended[edit]

Since this constitutes a clear legal threat, and since it also appears that you do not intend to appeal your block, I have revoked access to your talkpage. You may still appeal via UTRS. You may not edit Wikipedia in any capacity while the legal threat stands or while legal action is being undertaken. Yunshui  10:46, 21 February 2019 (UTC) [reply]
