Thanks for the brownie, but I didn't review it well?

Common eland

Congratulations on Common eland becoming a Good Article. The article that I was working on and had also nominated, Bivalvia, has also passed so I was going to offer to review your article but saw that it had already been done. Quick work! Very impressive! Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:31, 12 May 2012 (UTC)

Common eland

Hi! I'm so sorry, I totally forgot about the GA review. I think I forgot to watchlist it or something. I'll go work on that now! My apologies. Keilana|Parlez ici 13:58, 30 May 2012 (UTC)

Hello again! I'll take a look right now and give you any final comments. Thanks for being patient! :) Keilana|Parlez ici 13:36, 1 June 2012 (UTC)
Um, unfortunately after I posted that, I ended up being sick all weekend, so I'm just now working through all the comments. Nice job, and your patience is saintlike. Keilana|Parlez ici 01:08, 4 June 2012 (UTC)
Haha yes, I believe I'm due for an archive soon. I'll finish with your comments and do a quick copyedit to make sure we got everything, then I'll promote it! :) Keilana|Parlez ici 14:17, 4 June 2012 (UTC)
Thank you so much! If you ever need a copyedit or help with admin-ish things, let me know. It's been a pleasure working with you! Keilana|Parlez ici 15:21, 6 June 2012 (UTC)

Happy First Edit Day, Sainsf, from the Wikipedia Birthday Committee! Have a great day!

Astronomy

Well, you could work on the articles for individual stars, you can go to the "list of stars in..." articles and there's plenty to work on. Let me know if you need help finding sources! Keilana|Parlez ici 19:47, 10 June 2012 (UTC)

It's been almost six weeks since you took on this GA review. Can you please take a look and see what next should be done? Many thanks. BlueMoonset (talk) 21:29, 11 June 2012 (UTC)

Common Eland

Hi. Congratulations on getting it to GA. This is just to let you know that I'm archiving the GOCE request for it now, crediting WLU (for April) amd Keilana (for recent) for their copy editing. I've noticed DrMies's comment on the talk page, but he recognises that the article is well written, so I think it's reasonable to do so now. Best regards, --Stfg (talk) 13:35, 12 June 2012 (UTC)

Common toad

Getting Wikimedians to the Olympic Games

Hi. I am part of an effort to get Wikimedians access to the 2016 Summer Olympics as accredited reporters and photographers. Part of this effort includes covering the 2012 Summer Paralympics. Two Wikimedians have credentials to attend these games as reporters through Wikimedia Australia. As English Wikipedia does not allow original reporting, this is largely through Wikinews with a project page found at Wikinews:Paralympic Games. If you are interested in helping to get Wikimedians to the next Summer Olympics,I'd encourage you to assist with Wikinews efforts, and also to work on all language 2012 Summer Paralympic Wikipedia articles before, during and after the Games to demonstrate a track record of success. Thank you. --LauraHale (talk) 04:20, 17 August 2012 (UTC)

Happy Birthday Sainsf

your GAN Dromedary

Hi,

I'll be reviewing your GAN at Talk:Dromedary/GA1

Best wishes, MathewTownsend (talk) 20:09, 28 August 2012 (UTC)

hey, great article. I made a few suggestions and placed it on hold while you address them. Best, MathewTownsend (talk) 18:27, 30 August 2012 (UTC)
Dromedary passed and is now a good article. (I made a few more copy edits, but feel free to change anything that doesn't improve the article.) Congratulations! MathewTownsend (talk) 21:07, 1 September 2012 (UTC)
Thank you a lot! It has been a pleasure working with you. But you have left one thing-the Article History of the article. Write it, please. Thanks again.--Sainsf <^>Talk all words 09:28, 2 September 2012 (UTC)
  • Hi, the part of the Article History I was supposed to do, I did I think. Please see[1] See Wikipedia:Good article nominations/guidelines under "Pass". The only thing I didn't do was encourage you to review an article. So I don't understand what you mean. Could you explain what I should do to the Article History? And, would you review an article in return? MathewTownsend (talk) 13:58, 2 September 2012 (UTC)
You understood it the wrong way. Actually, Article history (better see Template:Article History) is the other reviews or milestones of the article. You can see Talk:Common eland, one that I once nominated. There a long ArticleHistory has been written (click edit there to see). In Dromedary we need just the Article History, there four are given. It is just an example.
Oldid is the number appearing in the URL of the webpage in the address box of your browser. You have to enter the oldid of the revision (you know, the revisions are those that appear when you click History button of an article) just before it was passed or failed as a GA or reviewed in a Peer Review (even I am not so sure of all that). You have also to give the date, available in the History page only, of that revision. In 'Dromedary', there is just one 'Article History', as previously it has undergone PR (mentioned on its talkpage). To ease your work, I provide you the oldid of the PR : 466293134 and date:17 December 2011. (You can yourself see the revision here.) Now, try entering this, and then contact me. Hope I could help :). --Sainsf <^>Talk all words 14:33, 3 September 2012 (UTC)

Amanita thiersii

I passed your article Amanita thiersii for DYK but did have some reservations about close paraphrasing as your description was very close in terminology to one of the sources.

I know it is difficult to describe fungi, or other organisms, without following the source closely but I thought you might be interested in the discussion on this subject which resulted after I nominated Lecythis ampla for DYK recently. It gives examples of sentences to which the reviewer thought close paraphrased where I thought I had changed the material sufficiently. So, - be careful! Cwmhiraeth (talk) 09:04, 26 September 2012 (UTC)

Hello, and thanks too. This was my first DYK and I am glad to have your help. About the close paraphrasing, I was going to modify that with some more book references I had found, so no need to worry. I shall work right away, and not depend on that one source only. It was the basic structure, actually. And now that you know I am a beginner about DYKs, could you tell me what is left to be done about the DYK of Amanita thiersii? I have left a few comments there. --Sainsf <^>Talk all words 00:51, 27 September 2012 (UTC)
You do not need to do anything more for the DYK nomination. At some stage in the next week or two your nomination will be moved by some other editor into a preparation area and then appear on the front page a couple of days later.
If you want to wikilink the word "cellulose" in the hook, that would be good. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 05:03, 27 September 2012 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for September 28

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Amanita caesarea, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Mercury (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
