Disambiguation link notification for April 29

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2017, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Rashid Khan. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Your question on creating rivalry pages with Sunrisers Hyderabad

I feel sorry to reply for your suggestion on the IPL rivalry pages relating to Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise. You pointed out that my attempted article Kolkata Knight Riders-Royal Challengers Bangalore rivalry would possibly help to create other rivalry pages as well. But I don't think that Sunrisers Hyderabad has got a hottest rivalry yet because they just made it into the IPL in 2013 and became more popular after the 2015 Indian Premier League ever since David Warner took charge as captain of the side. But I can say that Chennai Super Kings is one of the nearest rivalries because this clash is also meant as South Indian Derby. I created the rivalry between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore as this rivalry is considered as the oldest rivalry in IPL history (the very first match at the 2008 IPL season) and also termed as the third biggest rivalry in the Indian Premier League. I also can say that there are other possible rivalries to create such as Mumbai Indians and Delhi Daredevils because Delhi Daredevils has got a pity decent record against the latter in the past. Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore (another South Indian Derby) & Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Srh season

The 2018 season has not ended. So do not add anything in the infobox. And most dismissals and catches are not recorded. Human (talk) 04:41, 26 May 2018 (UTC)

@A Simple Human: I don't think that you need to wait until end of the season as long as you update it regularly. Same as what they do in all football pages where they update in the info-box too for every match. So, I don't see the reason on why to wait until the end of the season. Though I can wait since there's only one more match. Sagavaj (talk) 15:20, 26 May 2018 (UTC)

Re: Help on checking for plagiarism in Wiki Article

Are you concerned about your own edits? As long as you don't lift full text or paragraphs from source material, you should be ok. If you want to check for other users edits, you can generally try by searching full sentences with quotes on google and if it's plagiarized, original source will come up. Coderzombie (talk) 14:42, 3 June 2018 (UTC)

Hmm, that's tough to quantify. I'd suggest finding multiple sources and consolidate the information in your language as much as you can and also cite your sources and you should be good. Coderzombie (talk) 15:19, 3 June 2018 (UTC)

Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2019

The main problem with your article was that it didn't contain any information about the Sunrisers Hyderabad achievements in 2019; it was just a general article about the team and the second section said that "it is going to be held" without specifying what "it" was. Assuming it was talking about the Indian Premier League, we already have an article on that. Also be aware that everything you wrote is still present in the article history and you can resurrect it as soon as you have something to say. Deb (talk) 17:26, 4 June 2018 (UTC)

Great work with this, Sagavaj. Just one minor thing I spotted - do you have a source for the ground capacity of 60,000 in the infobox? The main article also states this, but I can't see it sourced. Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 18:14, 28 June 2018 (UTC)
@Lugnuts: I kept based on main article and also based on Sunrisers Hyderabad page. But, I found 2 sources saying as 55,000. But those are from 2017 and don't know if they increased later. Will try to see if I can find any other.[1][2]
I think for 2018 IPL, capacity was 38,000 based on this reference : [3]. Do you wan't me to change capacity to 38,000 in the page citing this reference?

Hi Sagavaj, per WP:DYKRULES eligibility criteria 5, nominators are supposed to review another editor's nomination. There is an exception for those with less than 5 nominations, and the exception applies to you, as this is your first nomination. DYK for Deccan Chargers in 2009

On 21 November 2018, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Deccan Chargers in 2009, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the Deccan Chargers, winners of the 2009 Indian Premier League, finished last in the league stage in the previous season with just two wins in fourteen matches? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Deccan Chargers in 2009. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Deccan Chargers in 2009), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Regarding Same Format

Hello, I know you have more interest in Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2019 article, but if you see all 7 teams have the SAME format this year. Like Kings XI Punjab in 2019, Mumbai Indians in 2019.etc I am not forcing you,if you make Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2019 article same as that of all 7 teams ,it may be a good one, thanks (Mr.Mani Raj Paul (talk) 14:37, 6 January 2019 (UTC))

@Mr.Mani Raj Paul: I appreciate your effort on other pages but some sections seemed unnecessary. Performance summary in 2019 is not needed since IPL teams play only single tournament over the season and there is already points table mentioning same information. Opposition in 2019 is unnecessary as it is not normally mentioned in the season pages which can be observed in any sports team season pages. I will eventually add some more sections including points table and statistics once the season starts (just like how it's present in previous SRH season pages). And regarding the arrangement, I observed that many people show enthusiasm to arrange season pages in different ways but it dies out eventually before the season ends and I am following a certain format for all SRH season pages (though making small changes here and there) since the beginning. Though it looks good, I would like to try and wait till the end of the season to see how this works and if necessary, we can have this discussion again at the end of 2019 IPL. Thanks again for approaching with the idea. Sa Ga Vaj 21:27, 6 January 2019 (UTC)

Yes, I know all the page session format of SRH is same, therefore I did not any edit on SRH sessions pages, In all 7 teams new table are added in session pages as you know. Waiting for IPL Starts ,Yes we can discuss these things at the end of IPL & within the IPL,thanks (Mr.Mani Raj Paul (talk) 04:28, 7 January 2019 (UTC))

Sunrisers/SunRisers

Hi there: Thanks for your comments. I see that team marketing favors stylizing the name as "SunRisers" - but the press do not always fall into line. Perhaps we should sort out the Sunrisers Hyderabad article title (and the titles of associated articles) first and provide definitive examples. - Jandalhandler (talk) 05:24, 6 February 2019 (UTC)

@Jandalhandler: I feel that article title must be placed as per common name to avoid confusion for which I still placed it as Sunrisers but atleast body of the article can be changed to SunRisers. Now, I don't know exact method on how to change the name but I think if you really wanna change, maybe you can start a discussion in WikiProject Cricket before changing anything just to get third person's opinion. Thanks. Sa Ga Vaj 17:44, 6 February 2019 (UTC)
Policy appears to give precedence to the English-language press usage - see: Wikipedia:Naming conventions (sports teams). We should certainly mention the marketing stylization in the lede. - Jandalhandler (talk) 12:44, 9 February 2019 (UTC)

IPL 2020

Hello, Thanks for interest in Sunrisers Hyderabad article in every year.
Background section in Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2020 is a repeating information as it same follows in main article of 2020 Indian Premier League, I know this year is every condations but my suggestion is to move Background information to below section like offseason section. Mr.Mani Raj Paul - talk 01:46, 17 August 2020 (UTC)

@Mr.Mani Raj Paul: Off-season section is normally for any changes in the team just before the season. Since this is regarding the change of the tournament but not some team-specific information, you can't exactly keep it in the off-season. I didn't check the other pages but I would suggest you to change even in the other pages. And yes, information is exactly from IPL 2020 page and you are more than welcome to rephrase the lines but not changing the sections. SaGa (talk) 01:55, 17 August 2020 (UTC)

Okay, That sounds me good.Mr.Mani Raj Paul - talk 02:16, 17 August 2020 (UTC)

Unsourced changes

Hi there, re: this, please be sure to provide a reference when you make a change. And for the record, Wikipedia cannot be used as a reference because it is user-generated. Please see WP:UGC if you have other questions. Thanks, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 00:23, 19 August 2020 (UTC)

@Cyphoidbomb: Can I directly place links of both second most disliked and third most disliked youtube videos as you can directly compare? Just no source yet cited this doesn't mean that it's wrong information. SaGa (talk) 00:37, 19 August 2020 (UTC)

Regarding Home - Away Matches

Hi, Recently you have added Home & Away section in Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2020. This table is not necessary Mr.Mani Raj Paul - talk 14:43, 6 September 2020 (UTC)

@Mr.Mani Raj Paul: Based on the IPL schedule in their official website [2] matches are considered to be having home-away format irrespective of where they played. It might not be the same as previous seasons but we still need to follow this. SaGa (talk) 14:55, 6 September 2020 (UTC)
Can you take part in a discussion Here?, Usefull comments are welcome , Thanks Mr.Mani Raj Paul - talk 15:07, 6 September 2020 (UTC)

Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2020 page - reg.

Hi there,

Let me know what's wrong in my edit for 35 th match of KKR vs SRH? I added only David Warner reached 5000 IPL runs in that match. That's a milestone approached in that match which I added in the notes section. Then what's the need to delete that @Mr. Sagavaj Kirubar (talk) 18:22, 22 October 2020 (UTC)

@Kirubar: That is an individual achievement and all runs are not even for SRH. No individual achievements are added until now and don't think it's needed in the team pages. You can add if there's any record for the team like biggest win in IPL or highest team total in IPL (something like that). Hope this helps. SaGa (talk) 18:31, 22 October 2020 (UTC)

Even I didn't mention that he scored 5000 runs for SRH. I pointed out that as an important happening in that particular match. Individual achievements have been added in other team pages throughout all the seasons. Have a look at it! Kirubar (talk) 18:50, 22 October 2020 (UTC)

In your cited official IPL T20 match reports they pointed out these sort of records, achievements and all. They are also part of the game, not only first and second innings scores. Referred all previous season pages then I did add that achievements. In my opinion, nothing wrong bcoz we won't give any wrong info. What you think of my opinion? Drop yours :) Kirubar (talk) 19:17, 22 October 2020 (UTC)

Where do you draw the line on which individual record to be placed and which shouldn't be placed. For ex, Sandeep Sharma got 100 wickets in IPL during last match. It's an individual record for him. Do you place it as well? And, did anyone place the IPL's first individual 100 wickets or 1000 runs achievements? I see this trend being followed only during last couple of seasons. I don't maintain other pages and hence don't care about it. But, I see it as non-essential matter. And also with different match template being used in Sunrisers season page, you cant even see it. I still stand by my statement. Maybe you can raise this issue in Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Cricket and get a consensus. SaGa (talk) 03:33, 26 October 2020 (UTC)

@Chaduvari: Hi. I feel honored for being considered but should gracefully refuse the offer. I rarely login to my Wiki account and just make some small edits every now and then. It would be better off with someone else. Sorry for the late reply and hope no offense is taken in this. Thanks. SaGa (talk) 00:25, 19 November 2020 (UTC)
