The article The black market skate shop has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising. Please see also Wikipedia's guidelines on notability of corporations. Unless your group meets this guideline, an article on it is probably not appropriate. Thank you. --BigDT 04:47, 23 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

reply to your question[edit]

Please see WP:CORP. I think that will answer your questions. "A company, corporation, organization, group, product, or service is notable if it has been the subject of multiple non-trivial published works, the source of which is both independent of the company, corporation, organization or group itself, or of the product's or service's manufacturer or vendor, and reliable." Any article about a company that does not demonstrate that there are reliable sources of information from which to write an article is not appropriate for Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not an advertising service or free webhosting. Most small businesses do not have articles here and never will. I know that's probably not what you want to hear ... but please take a look at some of the guidelines I have linked. Another good page to read is WP:5. This document gives the five pillars of Wikipedia and kinda explains what it's all about here. I hope that helps. --BigDT 05:37, 23 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • And I detest people who post an article more than once. -- RHaworth 08:03, 23 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
    • Umm ... that's not very nice. --BigDT 12:34, 23 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
