Queen image[edit]

Hello, thanks for contacting me. For the images I uploaded to the article, I got them from an author who released them under a free license. Concert images from the 70s with a free license are hard to come by, and the examples you provided me were likely all from one photographer or screenshots from a recording. For copyrighted images, you may be able to argue for fair use, but in this case, just showing Mercury facing the large crowd likely isn't going to have a strong enough rationale for being kept. The best bet is to contact people who may have attended that event and see if they would be willing to release an image under a free license. It'll likely be difficult, but I've been surprised many times. Try searching through sites like Flickr (using date ranges and keyword searches) to locate an image from that particular event. If you can find a reasonable candidate or two, I can ask for you if you'd like. Best wishes, and let me know if you need further clarification. --Happy editing! Those images are also likely copyrighted (see the uploaders' other contributions) and were not photographed by the Flickr user except for this one. However, that author hasn't uploaded an image in 3 years, so it's likely he wouldn't respond to a request to use the image (in addition, the image is from so far away, the band is barely visible). You may want to consider using one of the general images from the main Live Aid article. They're already free and can be incorporated into the Queen article. --Happy editing!
