This is just a heads up that I do work as an intern at Ars Nova. Since this might indicate a COI, I figured I should state it up front. That said, I have tried as much as possible to keep the article as neutral and informative in tone as possible, keeping with the general style and quality of Wikipedia entries, and my goal is not to use this site as an advertisement.

Regarding notability requirements and how the article will enrich Wikipedia (since, while unregistered, I have been reading Wikipedia for years versus working at Ars Nova for several weeks, and can answer this question as a frequent user of Wikipedia and not an employee):

1. The theater is an Off-Broadway, experimental theater that develops new works. All of which are frequently searched-for topics for New York theater people (including myself, pre-employment).
2. The theater is mentioned in plenty of secondary online sources--I've included a bunch in the main page, but there are plenty more where that came from.
3. Among New York theater people, Ars Nova is a well-known institution which has launched the careers of hundreds of New York artists. [1]
4. Up to 500 Wikipedia entries mention the theater without providing context [2], meaning that people clicking on these pages see "Ars Nova" or "Ars Nova Theater" and have no idea what the entries are talking about.

Anyway, I wanted to let the editors know about my affiliation in advance, so that I can make any changes necessary to make the article fit in better with Wikipedia's mission. If there is a problem with the way the information is presented, please let me know rather than simply deleting the page, and I'll do the best I can to fix it. Also, once the page goes live, I have no intention of changing anything added by other editors, except when it involves fixing neutral inaccuracies. Any other edits from me would be to make factual changes/updates (example, changing the names of the Play Group members when the group changes next year).

Again, I want to do this as properly as possible, following Wikipedia's guidelines carefully. Please don't write the article off just because I've stated a possible COI, but also please keep this in mind when assessing this article's neutrality. I hope that both this article's reviewers and I can remain as unbiased as possible where editing and approving this page is concerned. :-) RunnerOnIce (talk) 18:57, 20 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Contested deletion[edit]

This page should not be speedily deleted because it concerns a page which is currently pending approval (Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Ars Nova (theater) and provides necessary context for that page. -- RunnerOnIce (talk) 19:33, 20 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
