Thanks for getting the CF Games article I wrote published.War (talk) 02:57, 28 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Gyroscopic exercise tool[edit]

The article was originally spam, and has always been WP:OR form beginning to end. It needs something drastic. Guy (Help!) 13:56, 28 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

There are 5 articles on the dynamics listed. Shouldn't be hard to use those to address any OR issues. I'll look at it when I get a chance. Rracecarr (talk) 18:35, 28 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

BATMAN theme lyrics??[edit]

Why can editors not add the Lyrics? Is it copyright infringement? Seems like we need the Lyrics butt.... If it's Copyright then bummer.

Iamiyouareyou (talk) 15:01, 14 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Seems like a lot of your edits are jokes. If you have a reference that the official lyrics include bah nah nah nah nah..., then please go ahead and add it to the article, with reference. Rracecarr (talk) 15:55, 14 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Star trek theme?[edit]

What was wrong with the buuerww synth addition? Iamiyouareyou (talk) 15:03, 14 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

For one thing, the phrase you added was not a complete sentence. Rracecarr (talk) 15:57, 14 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Disambiguation link notification for April 1[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Summer Ross, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Kim Hill. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 15:16, 1 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Audrey Hasson[edit]

The article Audrey Hasson has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No evidence found that the subject passes WP:NACADEMIC or WP:BIO notability criteria: no significant coverage in secondary sources and no demonstrated academic impact above that expected from post-docs.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. --Animalparty! Ways to improve Janet Sprintall[edit]

Ways to improve Janet Sprintall[edit]

Hi, I'm Xyzspaniel. Rracecarr, thanks for creating Janet Sprintall!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. The (current) second reference (gov.au thesis) doesn't seem to work correctly

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Ways to improve Density ratio[edit]

Hi, I'm Nick Moyes. Rracecarr, thanks for creating Density ratio!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Hi, I'm concerned that this new article ought really ought not to stand alone, but should be part of another article, such as density gradient or salinity. If you think it should stand alone, then shouldn't the density ratio of seawater really be just one example? Air density ratio being another. Because of these concerns I'm going to unmark this article as 'reviewed' in the hope that you can address these points in the near future. It most definitely must be supported by references if it is to be an encyclopaedic article, and I can see you have a strong interest in this field

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Nick Moyes (talk) 01:12, 1 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I added a reference. I don't know anything about air density ratio, but it seems after a quick google search that it refers to the ratio of densities of two different air masses, just as putting "ratio" after XXXX generally indicates a division of XXXXa by XXXXb. Oceanographic density ratio is quite a different concept--it concerns the relative importance of salinity and temperature, not the relative densities of two different water masses. I think it would be confusing to include both examples in one article. Perhaps Density ratio could be moved to Density ratio (oceanography), leaving a redirect to Density.Rracecarr (talk) 14:55, 1 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for responding to my concerns. Your suggestion sounds like a very good solution (no pun intended). Do go ahead and make those changes. I really would like to see the article beginning with a proper definition that any student would recognise. I am a botanist, not an oceanographer, but I cannot believe that the current wording of the lead sentence is anywhere near correct (i.e. in suggesting that density ratio is a measure of importance!) I don't mean to be rude (honest), but I wonder if your closeness to the subject might have made you a little more subjective than is desirable, and perhaps less able to see it from the non-expert perspective. In a well-written article that is not too technical to start with, I might have expected to see this sort of structure in the lead:
  • Density ratio is a term used in oceanography to describe the relationship between aaaaa and bbbbb in cccccc.
  • An understanding of density ratio is of importance in determining xxxxxx.
  • Density ratio may also be used to .....
  • Show density ratio formula

Hope this feedback is of use. Maybe this article might be to. Nick Moyes (talk) 01:24, 3 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

CrossFit Games Champions template[edit]

Just a heads up, I merged your new templates to Template:CrossFit Games Champions. It is a more concise and inclusive template for the rather niche competition. Yosemiter (talk) 16:13, 5 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds good. Why expand out the repeat winners to show every year explicitly though? Rracecarr (talk) 16:19, 5 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Because it is more direct about who won and when. It is the most common format when used for championship infoboxes. It also allows it to be added to each year/season the championships were held. Yosemiter (talk) 16:34, 5 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
