Welcome, Rose Ashe!
Wilkommen! Welkom! Bienvenue! Benvenuti! ようこそ! Välkommen! Witamy! Bem-vindo(a)! ¡Bienvenido! Добро пожаловать! 欢迎!

Hello, Rose Ashe, and welcome to Wikipedia!

My name is Will, a.k.a. Willscrlt, one of the many editors here at Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions, and I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links you might find helpful:

The five pillars of Wikipedia   Tutorial   How to edit a page
How to write a great article   Help pages   Manual of Style
Request "adoption" by an experienced editor   Fun stuff...

Some other hints and tips:

  • Since you have created a username, you have the privilege of customizing your own user page, which is here. You can also tell us more about yourself in the new user log.
  • Talk pages, such as yours, which you are viewing now, are the way that Wikipedians communicate and leave messages or feedback for one another. All information placed on a talk page is publicly viewable, permanently archived, and usable by anyone for any purpose. It is a very bad idea to publish secure information or anything you wish to keep private on a talk page, or anywhere else in Wikipedia, because of the openness of the system.
  • When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username and the date.

If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or type {{helpme}} here on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Another option is to visit the Wikipedia Boot Camp or the Adopt-a-User center, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any questions you have.

I'm looking forward to seeing your future contributions, Rose Ashe!

I just noticed the work you have done with the two cocktail articles you added. Great job! If you could also add {{WPFOOD|mix=yes|class=|importance=}} to the talk page of all mixed-drink related articles you create, that would really help a lot. I also see you are using the Infobox, and that's great, too (that's how I saw you had created the new articles). Since you seem to have an interest in cocktails, I'd like to encourage you to become an Active Participant in the Mixed Drinks WikiProject. We could really use your help, and by working with other Project Participants, it really makes a difference in the quality of articles available at Wikipedia. Thanks again!

WikiProject Involvement Opportunity[edit]

Hi. Philvarner and I have various thoughts on how to restructure the entire mixed drinks and bartending section of Wikipedia, and that also squarely ties in with WikiBooks. Some of these are pretty sweeping changes. Since you have recently joined the WikiProject (congratulations, and thank you!), I would really appreciate your input.

I realize that you may feel a bit intimidated or shy about diving into the middle of such important discussions. You might even feel that you are too new to make any decisions. Don't believe that for a moment. You have a brain (and a pretty good one based on your editing skills), and you have ideas, and you should have no fear expressing them among friends. And I, for one, am your friend there. So please speak up. Don't be shy.

Please visit the Restructure Section to read, discuss, and hopefully help plan these important changes. Thank you. --Willscrlt (Talk·Cntrb) 12:03, 11 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
