This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Samuel Purdey, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.samuelpurdey.com. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Speedy deletion of Samuel Purdey[edit]

A tag has been placed on Samuel Purdey requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the article or have a copy emailed to you. AfD nomination of Samuel Purdey[edit]

I have nominated Samuel Purdey, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Samuel Purdey. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Mayalld (talk) 15:21, 9 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Just for info - don't place a 'hangon' on the article go to the articles AfD and comment there. Just click on 'this articles entry' on the notice. Hope this helps. Paste Talk 16:05, 9 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • This seems to be very much the same article that was deleted via Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Samuel Purdey. Can you tell me what is now substantially different so that it should not be speedy deleted? Thanks. Paste Talk 16:45, 14 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
    • I've seen your reply and understand your point but the community has decided that this band do not warrant an article, I'm afraid that unless you can establish notability per WP:MUSIC then it will go again. Paste Talk 17:07, 14 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
      • Too late - it's gone! Sorry but I did warn you. All the best. Paste Talk 17:24, 14 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
        • I think that it's very marginal. My suggestion would be to contact the deleting admin', ask him/her to create a page in your user space such as User:Rolluprob/Samuel Purdey where you can recreate the article with no fear of it being deleted. Get ALL your points and refs into the article and get the admin' to review it before placing it back in the mainspace. They may not go for it but worth a try if you feel strongly enough about it. Good luck. Paste Talk 17:42, 14 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 14:04, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

i saw you note on Pak's page. Basically you will need reliable sources from 3rd party's. If there is a Billboard or similar listing, that'll help. Have you read Wikipedia:BAND#Criteria_for_musicians_and_ensembles? If it meets one or more of those criteria, the article should be alright if you have verifiable info supporting your content. Hope that helps. Dlohcierekim 20:26, 25 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Samuel Purdey[edit]

Although drafts are given more leeway than full articles, we cannot host copyright or close paraphrasing anywhere on Wikipedia for legal reasons. There are other major issues in terms of content and referencing, which I will discuss if you wish me to. I see that the article has also been deleted via a deletion discussion, so you need to be clear why it is notable now; if there is nothing substantively different, It will be deleted on notability grounds even if the other issues are fixed Jimfbleak - talk to me? 18:37, 30 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
