Wikipedia:Adopt-a-User[edit]

Hello, I saw you listed in the category for those that are seeking adoption. I'd be happy to get you started on Wikipedia. If you'd like, just leave me a message on my talk page. If you would like to find a different adopter or possibly an additional one, feel free to check here. (Guyinblack25 talk 21:55, 6 August 2007 (UTC))[reply]

Ok, if that is the case, then go ahead and replace the current tag, {{adoptme}}, with {{adoptee|Guyinblack25}}. If you have any questions, general or specific, you know how to reach me. Later. (Guyinblack25 talk 01:12, 8 August 2007 (UTC))[reply]

Re:Help an adoptee[edit]

Hey, that's come a long way in a week. Featured Lists are a good way to get use to the whole featured process. They're a bit easier to get up to FL than an articles is to get up to FA, but still requires the same type of work. I'll try to address your questions without boring you with too many details, but if anything doesn't make sense, let me know and I'll try to explain it better.

Process
As far as the process goes, the only major step for going to FL is nominating it on Wikipedia:Featured list candidates page. Once nominated, you'll have to address any concerns and objections people bring up; either by fixing what they object to or defending the reason behind why you have it that way. Once it has enough support (4 editors), and it's been 10 or more days, then it's promoted by the Featured content administrator.
The other step isn't required, but it's recommended before nominating, is to get a peer review. After looking at the WP:NFL page, it doesn't seem to have it's own Peer Review department set up. The closest one is the college one, but I don't know if it applies to NFL articles. You can always just leave a message on the WP:NFL talk page requesting a review. There is also the Wikipedia:Peer review. Basically this is a general place where any editor can go to get feedback and suggestions on articles and lists. Sometimes other editors can be a bit too straightforward with their comments and it can feel like they're looking for every little whole in the article and ripping it apart, but it's all meant to be positive and constructive. It actually plays out a lot like the FL/FA nomination, people leave feedback, you address or defend it and respond back on the review page. Depending on the subject and the number of articles to be reviewed, you sometimes won't get much or any feedback though.

List
As far as the progress of the list goes, it seems to be coming along nicely. There's no real specific order to go about constructing a list. Basically since the end result is normally the same, it all depends on preference or which ever way you find to be the easiest. You've modeled it after similar lists, which is a good thing. The only major things left to do is to add the references and expand the lead some more. Referencing lists can be repetitive depending on the subject and sources. I'll look into this some more and get back to you later. Any other questions, or if I didn't explain something well enough, let me know. (Guyinblack25 talk 13:37, 26 September 2007 (UTC))[reply]

References[edit]

In regard to the citation question you asked, I found some possible resources you could use as references. Not being that knowledgeable of the topic, I'm not sure if they'll be of much help. Anyway, here they are:

You could probably use the "1994 NFL Draft Results" in the External links as a reference too, just cite it multiple times, within reason of course. Hope this helps some or at leasts points you in the direction you're looking for. (Guyinblack25 talk 18:03, 3 October 2007 (UTC))[reply]

Inactivity[edit]

Hi, I've noticed you've been inactive for some time now. Given that amount of time, I'm putting the adoption on hold indefinitely. If you happen to resume editing, please feel free to drop me a note to continue the adoption, or if you feel confident enough in going it on your own, feel free to ask any questions you may have. Take care. (Guyinblack25 talk 17:15, 29 August 2008 (UTC))[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello Rohdeaa! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 942 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:
