Sheldon Garon[edit]

Hi there! I don't see any reason to delete Sheldon Garon, it looks OK to me, but I note you've included the newpage tag. That tag isn't intended for use on Biographies of Living People as stricter rules about citations etc. apply for those articles. You might want to add some more independent references to the article though. Happy editing! ~Excesses~ (talk) 15:02, 12 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Sheldon Garon has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Author doesn't use proper references to support notability of subject

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Comment[edit]

Hi, Sorry if I scared you, that was not my intention nor was this a personal attack. I patrol the new pages where there is extensive backlog. As a result, I can only pay attention to each article for a minimal period of time before tagging them. Later on, I will follow up on the article to see if the tag was legit. In this case, I can tell you why I tagged the article and also why it is not untagged. Biographies of living people follow very strict guidelines. The person must be notable, the article must contain references, and those references need to support the notability of the article. When I read your article I had two concerns: first, the article didn't assert the notability, in my opinion,- not all people are notable and not all prof. are notable and second the few cases of notability were supported by poor references. The article was tagged with PROD which is the lowest of deletion criteria, it wasn't even listen on the page of nominated articles. The PROD was ment to stir up a discussion and do exactly what it did do. I canceled the PROD because you, and others, brought up valid reasons and the article has since been improved. It is tagged still and those tags should guide you in on where to improve the article. Welcome to wikipedia! Have a good day Zzaffuto118 (talk) 02:01, 7 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
