You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Brandon Semenuk requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. --allthefoxes (Talk) 04:20, 13 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

January 2016[edit]

Hello, I'm I dream of horses. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Brandon Semenuk seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. I dream of horses If you reply here, please ping me by adding {{U|I dream of horses}} to your message. (talk to me) (My edits) @ 04:37, 13 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Er, sorry about that if it seemed overly hasty. I dream of horses If you reply here, please ping me by adding {{U|I dream of horses}} to your message. (talk to me) (My edits) @ 04:38, 13 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Ha, I reverted somewhat manually. Rileyschneider, I dream of horses has been doing this for a long time and while I appreciate their courtesy, they were right in saying the phrase wasn't very neutral. Thanks, and good luck, Drmies (talk) 04:39, 13 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
"Semenuk’s win makes him the first rider to take the top spot at the Joyride three separate times." Drmies (talk) 04:41, 13 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Rileyschneider, if you change that three to four one more time, I will block you. Drmies (talk) 15:33, 13 January 2016 (UTC) Brandon Semenuk has won the event four times you idiot. Look it up. I'm trying To make a good page about him. Stop changing it[reply]

The article Brett Rheeder has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Resolved

Note: I have added an RS and therefore removed the tag. Softlavender (talk) 09:11, 13 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Rileyschneider. You may benefit from reading Wikipedia:Your first article. Alternatively, you may want to check out Wikipedia:Article wizard and/or Wikipedia:Articles for creation. Lastly, Wikipedia:Teahouse is a generally a helpful place to get help and ask questions.

I strongly recommend you take the time to utilize at least one of those resources before continuing to create new articles on Wikipedia, so that you can avoid making the mistakes you are currently making. Happy editing, and welcome to Wikipedia. Softlavender (talk) 09:10, 13 January 2016 (UTC); edited 16:11, 13 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 36 hours for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.  Drmies (talk) 16:21, 13 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Rileyschneider, I provided a source which clearly states he won it three times. You have provided nothing except for your own words and a few lame insults. You are blocked for edit warring, but I could throw in a couple of other things as well. Drmies (talk) 16:23, 13 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Rileyschneider, Softlavender saved the article, and I just got through improving it some more after work. Earlier a few of us worked on Brandon Semenuk. Yes, Semenuk has won the Red Bull Joyride four times, and yes, both are definitely notable. The thing is, Wikipedia goes by references. Without references, a new article on almost anybody—especially a living person—is going to be deleted. Without a reference, your claim that he won it 4 times is just hot air. So, thanks for starting articles on two guys we definitely needed articles on. It was in fact pretty damned easy to find references. But next time, include at least one ref. from the get-go. You asked how: the quick and simple answer is, after the claim you are making, such as "won the Red Bull Joyride 4 times", insert <ref> and </ref> and between those two, the URL of your reference. That will make a footnote with its number at that point in the text. Others will be happy to help further format the refs., and create a references section with a heading, and put the article in categories ... but that's what's needed to keep the article from getting deleted, and to demonstrate its facts are true. You can ask to be unblocked or you can wait out your block; either way, I hope to see you back and giving us more of these articles, this time with at least one ref. Unblock[edit]

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I have not done anything wrong, just trying to provide an accurate article on someone that I know a lot about. And admin kept changing my article that I started to incorrect information, because he obviously has no knowledge of the person. This admin needs to stop blocking people and making a big stink about trivial matters.

Decline reason:

Your insults to another user are doing something wrong. Additionally, he was editing to correct the information based on the sources. If the number is four, you need a source that says the number is four. The source currently provided says three. only (talk) 20:10, 14 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

User subpages[edit]

Rileyschneider, it would be beneficial to all involved if you drafted your new articles on a user subpage before posting them live on Wikipedia article space. Article space is not the place to expand and enhance your new articles; they should be expanded and enhanced before you post them live. You will continue to have articles WP:SPEEDY deleted, or nominated as such, if you do not prepare them sufficiently before posting live.

To create a userspace draft, you can either: (1) Use your standard sandbox (link is at the top of any page, next to "preferences"). (2) Create subpages on your userpage by using wikilink brackets and a slash / , which creates a subpage. Like so: [[/sandbox2]]. If you type that on your userpage, it will create a subpage where you can draft an article. Please make sure your new articles have at least three sentences and three citations. Otherwise, I'm afraid you are going to get more speedy deletions. Cheers and happy editing, Softlavender (talk) 05:19, 17 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

March 2016[edit]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you remove or blank page content or templates from Wikipedia, as you did at User:Drmies. Do not alter other users' userpages without their expressed permission.--Mr Fink (talk) 21:37, 3 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Like I said, there is no excuse to alter another user's userpage without their expressed permission. If you can not be bothered to understand that vandalizing other users' userpages in revenge is unacceptable behavior, then perhaps you should take some time off to develop some social skills.--Mr Fink (talk) 00:49, 4 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

July 2016[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Brett Rheeder. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Softlavender (talk) 05:28, 5 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Softlavender. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Brett Rheeder, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you.
