List of current UFC fighters[edit]

Can you provide any direct sources for Nurgamedodov (or however it's spelled) joining the UFC. I can only find a Sherdog forum post, which isn't quite good enough. Can you provide a link for his signing, until there is one I'd prefer not to post it in this list as it is too tenuous. Thaddeus Venture (talk) 17:39, 18 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If your information comes from the Sherdog forum post, the person posting the information says the link he provided, which would be good enough even though it's in russian, only says he's made a verbal agreement and is waiting to get a passport. I would assume that if he is unable to secure a passport he would probably not be able to sign a contract. This has been a problem with other fighters in the past, so until his actual signing is announced it would be premature to put him on this list. A similar situation occurred with Darren Uyenoyama, who's Shooto contract prevented him from signing with the UFC for several months. I expect a more formal announcement will be coming shortly to announce his singing, but until then this is too unsure to be included in this article. • It is the noted policy of this page to list all fighters with their UFC broadcast flag. While I realize that this is not fully indicative of these fighters nationalities, it provides an easy, referenceable, and consistent method of determining what flag a fighter should be displayed with. While Dennis Siver is often talked about as being from germany/german, he is always listed with a Russian flag in his Tale of the Tape, prefight bio. As I said I realize that this is not necessarily indicative of nationality. And although it says "Born" next to the flags, it is not always indicative of where they were born. But it is consistent, and it is noted at the top of each table that this is the system being used. I hope this clears up any questions of flag use or nationalities on this page. List of current MMA champions[edit]

I have encountered this a couple of times now, and feel I should just have a default speech in hand. All I know of Guram Gugenishvili is that he was born in Georgia, which to my mind makes him Georgian. I would be happy to change this to Ukrainian, but in order to do that I need extra information from you. I need an explanation in the talk section of why you are making the change and supporting evidence if possible. I can be swayed if he has officially renounced his Georgian citizenship in order to become Ukrainian, but I need to know that that's what's going on, not just that his family is Ukrainian or something like that. Until then I will revert his nationality to Georgian. Thaddeus Venture (talk) 14:13, 6 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • M-1 Global is centered in the Netherlands. That is where they list their principal business offices and such. I realize that they hold the majority of their contests in Russia, and feature many Russian fighters, but that in and of itself does not make them a Russian organization. If you have an argument as to why it should or why they are actually a Russian company I would be happy to consider it and argue on it's behalf depending on merit and evidence. Thanks for your help. I can live with your solution.Thaddeus Venture (talk) 16:48, 23 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Is Magalhaes vacating official. I know he's written released an angry statement, and I'm sure it's likely, but I don't see anything beyond a forum post or two to suggest that he as actually officially vacated his belt or signed exclusively (which amounts to the same thing). Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. One of the core policies of Wikipedia is that articles should always be written from a neutral point of view. A contribution you made to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu appears to carry a non-neutral point of view, and your edit may have been changed or reverted to correct the problem. Please remember to observe this important core policy. Thank you. Nog not notable for BJJ specifically Fayerman (talk) 23:19, 10 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to Rasul Mirzaev. Doing so helps everyone understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Disambiguation link notification[edit]

Hi, this message is to let you know about disambiguation links you've recently created. A link to a disambiguation page is almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. For more information, see the FAQ or drop a line at the DPL WikiProject.

December 2011[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Ricco Rodriguez, please cite a reliable source for your addition. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.
The fight you added is not listed at Sherdog, therefore you need to cite a source for the fight. --

The article 2011 M-1 Selection season has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Primarily a listing of results for a series of non-notable events, featuring non-notable participants. No lasting historical significance as fights were primarily contested for entry into a later competition.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:M-1 Challenge 31.jpeg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on M-1 Challenge 31 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. TreyGeek (talk) 04:07, 5 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether RusFighters Sport Club should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/RusFighters Sport Club .

additional copyright issues[edit]

Hello, Ricco Baroni.

I see that in 2012, there were issues with you copying content from sources and other Wikipedia articles, as listed at ANI, and a contributor copyright investigation was requested (archive). It was declined, by User:MER-C, only because the user who noticed the issue had already cleaned the problems at the time.

Unfortunately, it looks like there are still issues with copyright here, and I need to be sure that you understand our policies on handling content from external sources.

  • Except for brief and clearly marked quotations, you cannot copy content from copyright protected sources to Wikipedia, but must put the information you find in them in your own words. Most sources are copyright protected.
  • You also cannot translate content from copyrighted sources and put it into Wikipedia. The owner of the source has the only right to authorize translations. I have had to remove the bulk of the article Ali Aliyev (wrestler) because it was a direct translation of this source.
  • You cannot copy or translate content from one Wikipedia article to another unless you give proper credit. This a legal requirement to comply with our license. Proper credit is given through the edit summary and article talk page. Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia has details about how to do this.

You can read more about our copyright practices at Wikipedia:Copy-paste.

I have looked through your contribution history after that last copyright request and have identified the major edits that concern me. Can you please identify where this text comes from so that we can determine how best to handle it?

If we can't identify where this text came from and ensure that it is properly handled per our copyright policies (for example, identified if it is a translation of the Russian Wikipedia), the content will probably have to be removed. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 10:34, 26 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked[edit]

Your account has been indefinitely blocked due to your restoration of a copyright violation to article space. This block is not necessarily permanent, but does require that you stop and talk about this copyright issue. There has already been one copyright investigation on you and seems like there may be about to be another, and we need to know that you both understand and will respect our copyright policies. Putting the content back without comment does not give any indication of either. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 16:53, 26 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ricco Baroni[edit]

Unblocked please! Moonriddengirl

Hello. I received your email indicating that you have read our copyright policies and understand them now. Can you please answer the questions above about where the text in those diffs comes from? Were they translated from something directly? --Moonriddengirl (talk) 20:07, 28 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
(To make sure I'm clear, I am asking you to answer the questions about the diffs I linked in the additional copyright issues section, above. We need to fix the copyright problems already created first. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 20:12, 28 March 2015 (UTC))[reply]
For what it's worth, you can still edit your talk page here, if you log in. Can you please log in and identify where the text comes from in these diffs so that we can determine how best to handle it?
--Moonriddengirl (talk) 20:16, 28 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
As I mention on my user page, I don't talk about Wikipedia matters via email unless there are serious privacy concerns. Conversations on Wikipedia are meant to be transparent (that is, on the record), and I'm a lot more comfortable with that approach. :) Can you try logging in to your account and writing here? You were able to do this a few hours ago, [11]. If you cannot, please tell me what message you see when you try. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 20:27, 28 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I copied something from the site, but many add yourself! --Ricco Baroni
I copied from www.wrestdag.ru about 40-50% information about sportsmen, but the rest of the information I know about myself these sportsmen --Ricco Baroni

Thank you for your response. So, for example, when I look at this diff, I see a lot of information, including a quote. Can you link to me where you got that quote? Can you link me any of the pages on www.wrestdag.ru where you copied information? --Moonriddengirl (talk) 20:35, 28 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

For example Abdulsalam Gadisov (http://wrestdag.ru/users/201/) it is this is an article written about his sporting career, I took the information about it here! --Ricco Baroni
Abdulsalam Gadisov vs. Khadzhimurat Gatsalov in final match Ali Alyiev cup 2013 [1] --Ricco Baroni
if it violates the copyright, I can remove all information about these sportsmen --Ricco Baroni
Thanks; I don't know if it violates copyright or not. I'm trying to work that out. I know you had a problem with the article I talked about earlier, where you translated from your source directly. But here you have several quotes in the article - for instance, "As a child I liked mixed martial arts - says Abdusalam Gadis - and at first I visited the section of Wushu Sanda and kickboxing, but my father chose me to do freestyle wrestling, and took me to a sports school". That isn't in the first link you gave me - at http://wrestdag.ru/users/201/. It doesn't seem to be in the video, although since I don't speak Russian I'm not sure. It looks like a regular video of a match with a guy talking about the match. Where did you get that quote? Is it somewhere in that video? --Moonriddengirl (talk) 20:43, 28 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
[2] "about about @liked mixed martial arts - says Abdusalam Gadi" I took it from here! --Ricco Baroni
I am familiar with adimnistratom site "www.wrestgad.ru" and they consistency that I enjoyed their article about the many sportsmen in their articles of sportsmen! ;) --Ricco Baroni
We can communicate faster if you add me in facebook (www.facebook.com/Radikishandsome) --Ricco Baroni
Oh, thank you! I see. So, yes, that would be a copyright problem for the same reason as the other article. The basic facts about his career - what matches he fought and when - we can use. But their prose sections we can't. We have to create our own prose. :) So I get a Google translation from that site, I see much of the same content. So, that we will need to remove. Maybe we should remove the text from the other articles as well, as you say, so you can rebuild it "from scratch."
I will work on unblocking you, but it may take a few extra minutes and could perhaps need more information from you. The fact that you couldn't edit your talk page means you were almost certainly logged out when you tried, which means your IP is probably autoblocked. But we'll get it worked out. I'll update you.
What's really important now is that going forward you stick to putting facts into articles in your own words, not translating from other websites. It's better to do small changes that are in our copyright policy than to risk it.
I wouldn't talk about this on Facebook, either. :) The English Wikipedia really likes to keep conversation on talk pages. It's a little slower, but it's "on the record." --Moonriddengirl (talk) 20:58, 28 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Okay, please test. Try to edit any page other than this one. If you cannot, please this time email me what message you are receiving. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 21:02, 28 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I Now I remove everything associated with the site wrestdag, thank you that you have enabled me! :) --Ricco Baroni
Oh, good! You can edit. If you have any questions about copyright, please come to my talk page. You can leave messages for me here as well, but I would ask you to put {{u|Moonriddengirl}} somewhere in your note to increase the chance that I will see it. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 21:22, 28 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The article Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov (MMA trainer) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Significance of subject person

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

Am hoping to collaborate with you in the future. I assume you speak Russian, and any other languages, friend? DA1 (talk) 14:33, 26 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm CASSIOPEIA. I noticed that you made a change to an article, UFC Fight Night: Rivera vs. Moraes, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 21:51, 7 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for April 14[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Gadzhimurad Rashidov, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Nikola Petrov (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:25, 14 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

May 2018[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Petr Yan a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 10:47, 6 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Ricco Baroni, you have received may warning on adding info/content without support by sources with inline citation. Please note that content that no support by source would be removed as the info could not be verified. You can added independent, reliable sources in any languages, and all you have to do is click cite on the top menu and add in the info. Anyway to do it is to download the Wikipedia:VisualEditor and you could just paste the URL and the rest of the info will be filled for you. Please note facebook, utube, home page, LinkeIn, Instagram, and any user generated sources considered NOT independent and /or reliable, so it would not be used a source in Wikipedia. A tag has been placed on 2014 European Wrestling Championships – Men's Greco-Roman 71 kg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

It may meet Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion under CSD G6

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
