I notice that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been reverted for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of deletion, you might like to draft your article before submission, then ask me or any other editor to proofread it. To start creating a draft article, just click your user name at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and edit that page as you would any other. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

The one firm rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. It is also worth noting that Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which specifically link them to one company or corporation. If your username does have such a name, it would be advisable for you to request a change of username.

I've noticed that your contributions have been focused on employees of Bloomberg, and that you also claim to manage Bloomberg's social media presence. With respect, I'd like to point out that your editing these articles clearly represents a conflict of interest. I've posted a notice on the Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard so that other editors can discuss the potential implications of this and I'd like to invite you to respond. I've also pasted some standard information on Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interests below. In addition to these policies, I'd also encourage you to look at Wikipedia:Copyright problems. I've noticed that your contributions to Julianna Goldman are largely copied from Bloomberg's website. [1] and this presents some additional problems.

Response to COI[edit]

Hi Gabriel (and Netalert)

Thanks for the post I don't feel double teamed. I found the comments helpful. I have reviewed the Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard, it was useful as well. I do work for Bloomberg and so there is a connection with the subject profiled, but I have tried to keep the articles neutral, fact based and verifiable. Any suggestions, or direct edits would be most welcome if you think the articles can be improved or refined.

I am eager to improve as an author, so I will not take offence at all. I don't want these to be marketing pieces, as these folks really have made some significant contributions in the fields of journalism, and it would please me if others would contribute and edit. With regard to Juliana, this content was sanctioned for use and will pose no copyright issue from Bloomberg (willing to verify if needed). It was modified to conform more with Wikipedia standards, but I am willing to edit it.

Hi Rharles, thanks for your reply, regarding copyright, it must be verified, since we cannot know you actually work for Bloomberg and have permission to use the content without doing so. Please follow follow the instructions in the note above about how to do this. I'm not sure if you need to do this for every article seperately or if you can donate them all at once, but a member of the OTRS team should be able to advise you about that. Hi Gabriel, thanks for getting back so quickly. I understand the need for verification, and will follow up in any case...my email is rharles [at] bloomberg.net, just in case you need to contact me directly. However, I have rewritten the article to make it easier (and better) for all involved. Will watch this in future, but I don't have any other articles where this will likely be an issue. Thanks again for being so helpful, would like to stay in touch moving forward.

Speedy deletion nomination of Michael Liebreich[edit]
