Your story

I haven't forgotten about you! I've been processing a lot of family stuff over the past couple of days - and right now it's easier for me to stick with historical facts... if that makes any sense. I will get to your piece. It's insightful and interesting!--CaroleHenson (talk) 14:45, 10 September 2012 (UTC)

Hi Carole, thank you for messaging me. I do not think I can be an editor on Wikipedia. I deleted my article on autism because it has nothing to do with Wikipedia. I hope you are ok with your families. Do not worry about me. --RexRowan (talk) 14:58, 10 September 2012 (UTC)
RexRowan, don't take this recent round of deletions to heart. Take a little break, and then come back and try again. Copyright can be a difficult beast to understand, and we're very strict on it here at Wikipedia, because it causes so much harm to the project. However, I firmly believe you have the intelligence and ability to write good articles in your own words. I've got a really good obscure article about a park in New Zealand to practise on (which I offered to someone else who has since been blocked). Since the sources are all ready to go, I was going to write it myself, but if you'd like to write it together to get you a bit of experience in how to avoid copyright violations and close paraphrasing, I'd be willing to go for that :) We could even get a DYK out of it! WormTT(talk) 15:03, 10 September 2012 (UTC)
I agree with Worm - and if there's something I can do to help save an article that is special to you, let me know. I think, though, the idea of starting out with one article and go through the proper steps will be good. There are a lot of rules to learn and if you can be walked through them - that is a super offer. You have a lot of heart and you're an inspirational person - what a great editor you'd make once you get the guidelines down!--CaroleHenson (talk) 15:32, 10 September 2012 (UTC)
Thank you both. I will learn from Worm, in the meanwhile, I will clean up some really meaningless ones. --RexRowan (talk) 15:34, 10 September 2012 (UTC)
Your iPad article is a great one. When you're done with Worm, let me know and we can work on that one. It's a great idea - and can either be incorporated with Autism friendly or an article about iPads, or both. You're right, of course, to drop the ones that aren't very meaningful to you- and really get down to one to start - and then keep the set small. Then, if you get notices, you can get the issues resolved - and I'll be happy to help. I would really miss you if you left! You have such great insights and optimism!--CaroleHenson (talk) 15:42, 10 September 2012 (UTC)
And if you want me to - I could bundle up all the deleted article sections into a collapsed area - until the auto-archive kicks in. Just let me know - if wouldn't take long at all!--CaroleHenson (talk) 15:44, 10 September 2012 (UTC)
I think I can help people out looking for sources. :D I will miss everyone too! I just didn't want to be the monster that ruined everything. I do not want to delete the art articles, and my llansaint article, everything else is pretty much rubbish.--RexRowan (talk) 15:46, 10 September 2012 (UTC)
Well, I'm about to head home, but here's a little project for you to start things off with. The park in my mind is notable, it's a landmark and I've found enough sources to agree with my assessment. So, here's your project - to when you like, if you like. Create User:RexRowan/Turnbull Thompson Park and add as many sources as you can find. I've found about 4-5, including a REALLY good one, and I'll add them tomorrow unless you beat me to it. Part of the skill of editing wikipedia is hunting for sources. Anything that's from a reliable source and talks about the park. If you want to try writing a little bit about the park too - go ahead. This is a list of questions I suggested the other person try to answer
  • Topics to write about:
    • History of the park, when it was built, was it designed, who designed it? Where did the name come from? (Is it anything to do with John Turnbull Thomson?)
    • Are there any sites of interest there? Particularly interesting monuments, buildings etc
    • Are any regular events held there? Are they worth discussing?
    • Is there any wildlife found at the park?
    • Are there any sports teams that are based at the park?
  • Add an infobox - I recommend {{Infobox park}}. Don't forget to include location information!
  • Find some free images of the park to add, one for the info box, then roughly 1 per section that you write. Checking out commons or flickr (looking for CC-BY-SA) might work, but you may have to go there and photograph it yourself!
  • Your minimum character count is 1500, that'll allow you to get a WP:DYK, but I'm sure you can do better than that.
  • Sources: Focus on reliable sources, such as newspapers and books primarily, before moving on to other websites.
  • The lead - should be written once you've got your head around the rest of the article. It's meant to be the summary of the article, so you do end up repeating yourself from elsewhere.
Some of the questions are not answerable, but I'm sure we'll be able to get there with the others :) WormTT(talk) 15:46, 10 September 2012 (UTC)
  • Ok, firstly, I've got to say I'm impressed. We've got a structure built up already, you've found the "really good" source (or a version of it). I'm very pleased with your work so far. I do have a few questions though. Do you have access to any of the sources in the bibliography? Online or offline? I'd like to be able to access the sources that you are using so I can double check for copyright issues - so if you have links, please do let me know.

I'm a little curious about the flora and fauna of the park - it was really meant to be something that got discounted, because from above it appears the park is primarily fields, and mainly playing fields at that. Have you any evidence that these flora and fauna are found at the park, or is that original research? The article doesn't need images, and I couldn't find any - but clearly images would be helpful. WormTT(talk) 07:52, 11 September 2012 (UTC)

Morning Worm! Thank you very much. The papers from council are from Google book but I don't think I can read them. The species are from [eol.org], I am a curator on it and knows it's basic set ups. Also some are from WikiSpecies. I did searches on the park, nothing came up. But I am testing at the moment for Southland and try to find out which species are common for that area and which is native to a specific region. Then I will narrow it down and merge them all into one paragraph if needed. I layed some images so you can pick and choose as you wish and get rid of the rest. There are images about the park on trip adviser but they are very sneaky, they let people upload for free then use them for own promotion purpose, if people want to use the images, we have to copy an unique embed code from their website which direct traffic to them. --RexRowan (talk) 08:01, 11 September 2012 (UTC)
Ok, that makes sense. We may end up fiddling things to make them more clear that they're the ecology of the area, not necessarily of the park, or even may have to take it out all together - but let's leave them for now. You might want to have a look at the following sources [1] [2] which give some history of the park. It appears that John Turnbull Thomson planned the city in the first place, so the park is part of his legacy. I wouldn't recommend using the trip advisor pictures, as they're not under the right license if they require a specific attribution type. WormTT(talk) 10:00, 11 September 2012 (UTC)
Cool, I can do some rough sketches of the ground and buildings. I saw some interesting trees, wonder what they are--RexRowan (talk) 10:08, 11 September 2012 (UTC).
Would be interested to know too! I have found this image on flickr - which is of the area and shows the park (it's the second green field on the right, not the one with the athletics track). I'm not sure if it's croppable or possible to make good. WormTT(talk) 10:24, 11 September 2012 (UTC)
I think we only need to add a description on the image like the panorama image on this article Invercargill. --RexRowan (talk) 10:32, 11 September 2012 (UTC)
Damn, the model I made can only be uploaded to Google Earth. I took a snapshot but there's Google background. --RexRowan (talk) 11:07, 11 September 2012 (UTC)

You have a place here

Remember the great work on Night paintings and autism friendly
I bet if you take a deep breath, and just tackle one or two things at a time, I really think you'll find you'll do well. You should be proud of your enthusiastic, upbeat personality.

And, you're not ruining anything - it's like spring cleaning.

The autism friendly article, if you look closely at it, has so much of you in there - and so many bits that are going to be helpful for others. I really hope you stay - I would really miss you. CaroleHenson (talk) 15:55, 10 September 2012 (UTC)

Thank you so much Carole for the personalized award, it's like a box of chocolate, each time is different! The frightening thing about me is that sometimes I engage in extreme stupidity without realizing it. I am very grateful to have friends on Wikipedia who are so kind and generous to me. These are the moments life is worth living for. Thank you so much for being there, I know you have your own battle to fight, it is much appreciated! --RexRowan (talk) 16:02, 10 September 2012 (UTC)

Big sister

Right now I'm going to be your big sister... I'm going to clean some things up so that you don't lose focus about some of the great things you've done here... also Chinese fine art... Chinese folk art... Let's make it a little fresher for you... and I'm going to put some of the good things you've done on your user page.

Big sisters butt in some times - so if it's too much - just jump on my page and say no thanks... but I think a couple of minor things are going to make a difference and help keep the perspective. I'll leave you alone (except the quiet work I'll do on the side).--CaroleHenson (talk) 16:08, 10 September 2012 (UTC)

Thank you very much, I am speechless. I really want to give you a hug right now. I will keep optimistic and keep on learning, as Confucius said, it doesn't matter how fast you move, as long as you are moving. :D --RexRowan (talk) 16:19, 10 September 2012 (UTC)
I love that! And, that's good for me to hear right now!-- ok more big sistering to do! I'll be back.--CaroleHenson (talk) 16:30, 10 September 2012 (UTC)
Oh, I got caught up in something and came back to see what else needs to be done - and it's done! Yeah! I hope I didn't step on your toes. Let me know when or if you want my help - all you need to do is ask. And, I hope you don't mind if I do the same. I tried to pick images that I thought you would like that you added to articles - so that you can sit down with a cup of tea and enjoy them and remember that you've added value here! I hope your day ends on a lighter note!--CaroleHenson (talk) 19:01, 10 September 2012 (UTC)
Thank you so much Carole! I really like the format and images. I am working on the article Worm told me to have a go. I will help out in anyway I can for you! I am happy now :D --RexRowan (talk) 19:08, 10 September 2012 (UTC)
I'm so glad to hear it! Iced cold tea for me! Thanks for the bubble tea reminder, it was spot on!--CaroleHenson (talk) 19:14, 10 September 2012 (UTC)
Anytime :D --RexRowan (talk) 19:17, 10 September 2012 (UTC)

Today

Hello, I'm so glad to see you around today and that you're making wonderful progress with Worm.

I still have your story, I had saved it to my hard drive to work on it, but I think it might be better to do in wiki world anyways. If you'd like I can still work on it, I think it's an interesting story and is giving me plenty of insight, too. I may just do it in sections. If you'd like I can repost what I have to your user space.--CaroleHenson (talk) 14:59, 11 September 2012 (UTC)

Hi Carole. I don't mind you two working together on the story, but please don't repost it to Wikipedia. It does contain sensitive material, negative comments regarding individuals - effectively BLP violations. That was the reason it was deleted in the first place, and bringing it back serves the encyclopedia no purpose. WormTT(talk) 15:02, 11 September 2012 (UTC)
No Carole, I think we both have autism and logical creatures. Worm told me it's uncivil to post bad things done by other when the person does not have evidence for it. I have some papers from my professors, some court papers from the county court and my lawyer but what my mother did I do not have evidence, obviously my broken glasses but it's not good for anyone. I don't want to hurt anyone if I am the one who is handicapped, not others, I should try to learn and adapt I guess. I wrote an article about the park today and really fascinated by the native people and biodiversity there. :D How are you doing? I hope the back pain is not causing too much problems. And thank you so much for clearing up my user and talk page. --RexRowan (talk) 15:08, 11 September 2012 (UTC)
I wouldn't say "uncivil", but "not appropriate for Wikipedia". I'm certainly not recommending a course of action on how you should deal with it in the rest of your life, but that adding such information to Wikipedia is problematic. WormTT(talk) 15:12, 11 September 2012 (UTC)
I know Worm, I was trying to think a word for it. I really need to learn instead of keep on tripping over the same stone. I forgot to take my idiot pill again. :D --RexRowan (talk) 15:15, 11 September 2012 (UTC)
Sure, that makes sense. I hadn't realized that concern carried over to user pages but it makes sense. How about if I work on it and then send it to you via email - I see that you have that option set up.--CaroleHenson (talk) 15:19, 11 September 2012 (UTC)
Aaaaah, everyone can see my email! I was gonna pop over to the dark side for some mischief, hehehehe. Sure, if you wish but you don't have to, I don't think it's going to help the majority because I was in the wrong place at the wrong time and met the wrong someone, lol! Maybe a diluted version can help others and the rest can smell some chloroform. :D --RexRowan (talk) 15:25, 11 September 2012 (UTC)

Wonderful job!

Autism Cymru Barnstar
Wow! What an impact that you're making on the Autism Cymru article! I just popped over to take a look and I thought I was in the wrong place - it's gone from a little stub to some great, juicy content. Time for some wonton noodle soup? CaroleHenson (talk) 20:18, 13 September 2012 (UTC)

Section order

Here's the link about section order: Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Layout, in particular section 3.

3 Standard appendices and footers

** Body of the article **
   3.1 Order of sections
   3.2 Works or publications
   3.3 See also section
   3.4 Notes and References
** more info, potential article expansion sources **
   3.5 Further reading
** outside of Wikipedia **
   3.6 External links
** inside Wikipedia, but where navigation templates are placed **
   3.7 Navigation templates

There's kind of a rhyme or reason for this:

  • Items 3.1 through 3.4 are what I think of as the body of the article - this is what people came to the article to read about
  • See also - means you can go places to delve more into an aspect of the subject we're discussing
  • Further reading - is just that, more material that could be included in the article. It could also be sources for expanding the article - either way, they should be reliable sources - and meet the same criteria as selection for a source as you would for references
  • External links - takes you outside of the article, could be links that may not work as a source, but must pass the criteria in WP:External links
  • I think you already realize this, but external links should not be in sections 3.1-3.3 and only used in references to link to the source of the cited information.--CaroleHenson (talk) 16:49, 17 September 2012 (UTC)
Wow, you are like Q in MI5, you have all the gadgets to do a proper job! Thanks a lot! :D --RexRowan(Ninja signal) 17:07, 17 September 2012 (UTC)

Autism Initiatives

We've got plenty on our plate at the moment, but we may want to write an article about Autism Initiatves later. Before I put the red link in the Autism Cymru article I checked for sources of info and found the following results, which will have to be screened to ensure that they're for the UK based "Autism Initiatives":

I think in the short run I'll get back to Autism friendly - but I thought I'd throw that out as an idea when you've finished the Park article.--CaroleHenson (talk) 17:12, 17 September 2012 (UTC)

Of course! Why not! :D --RexRowan(Ninja signal) 17:19, 17 September 2012 (UTC)

Maths

UGH! The first one's simple but the second one... How accurate do you want to be? Number of hours? To the nearest day? WormTT(talk) 08:34, 18 September 2012 (UTC)

Morning grandmaster! You can simply lay the maths in raw form or calculate down to minutes, I have tried and thought a fifth can actually get down to minutes than a third. Tell me if I set the parameters wrong. :D --RexRowan(Ninja signal) 08:38, 18 September 2012 (UTC)

The numbers didn't come out nice for me, but I got
  • 1/3 at 48d - 1d 14h 2m 20s (ish) = 46d 9h 57m 40s
  • 1/5 at 48d - 2d 7h 43m 34s (ish) = 45d 16h 16m 26s
I'm sure I went wrong somewhere, I haven't played with logs for years. But workings below - for a 1/5, similar for 1/3

solve for z...

Now... feel free to point at me and tell me why I'm wrong. WormTT(talk) 09:27, 18 September 2012 (UTC)

Sugar, I really did not think this through, Jenova is gonna chase after me with a big club. --RexRowan(Ninja signal) 09:38, 18 September 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, I think this might be a bit beyond Jenova (no offense to him, but it took me a lot of study to answer questions like that, and I know maths isn't his specialist subject)... WormTT(talk) 09:42, 18 September 2012 (UTC)
You are correct, this function is used a lot in biology. No matter, I will find some fun questions elsewhere. Hope Jenova is still sleeping :D --RexRowan(Ninja signal) 09:56, 18 September 2012 (UTC)
Maths isn't my worst topic but geography is my strongest. Thanks and have a nice day/evening Jenova20 (email) 15:29, 18 September 2012 (UTC)

Thank you very much Jenova, I went looney myself this morning after I gave you a silly question without thinking it through. Ok, tomorrow the topic will change to geography! :D --RexRowan(Ninja signal) 15:33, 18 September 2012 (UTC)

Ha ha...at least it makes the week go faster.I saw someone once with a chessboard on this user page, he was playing against anyone on Wikipedia who made a move. It's not much but it's one way to help keep editors here long enough to see we're not all dirty scheming edit warrers =P
Thanks again Jenova20 (email) 15:41, 18 September 2012 (UTC)
Yes, I was trying out my creative writing skills by construct a world domination plan. I am planning on writing its sequel, Rex's Guide on Prison Break Plans. :D --RexRowan(Ninja signal) 15:48, 18 September 2012 (UTC)

Hi Adam, how's your day? I applied to be a volunteer at Mathematical Association today and they seem to like my CV! Also the council has found us a nice three bedroom house to live in on the edge of a quite small village! :D --RexRowan(Ninja signal) 17:56, 18 September 2012 (UTC)

Editing Pattern

Hi Rex, you seem to be spending an awful lot of edits to your user page and as much as I understand you want it to look nice, if you would ever like to get a status or permissions in the future, it wouldn't look great. If I may, I'd suggest maybe some more content creation or lend a hand maybe at WP:AFC? That can clock up edits nicely, since you get between 2-4 edits per review just by clicking a couple of buttons. Let me know if you'd like more suggestions.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  17:06, 19 September 2012 (UTC)

Thank you very much Adam, I never planned to have any status but I'll do whatever you think is right. I will remove my bullshit and do some decent work. How's your day? :D --RexRowan(Ninja signal) 17:33, 19 September 2012 (UTC)
Oh no, don't remove it! Just don't continue as much with it. My day was pretty rubbish.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  19:18, 19 September 2012 (UTC)
It's ok. Don't worry, I was gonna reorganize it anyway. Anything wrong? Did you know we are both rowan tree in the druid tree calender? --RexRowan(Ninja signal) 19:24, 19 September 2012 (UTC)
I just had a bit of a bad day. Really? What is that calendar?  Adam Mugliston  Talk  06:48, 20 September 2012 (UTC)
Morning, Hope you have a better day today! The calender is a bit like Chinese animal zodiac but in trees. I think it may have something to do with Book of shadows, but not quite sure. The druids used to live in the woods and worship trees. Here is the link [4]. --RexRowan(Ninja signal) 07:03, 20 September 2012 (UTC)
I wouldn't worry too much about RexRowan playing with her userpage Adam, I don't think it's reached "excessive" yet. The biggest difference between her and someone who's just here to play with userpages is that she's written a few articles (though some have been deleted as problematic - that's something we're working on) and her quite amazing skill at getting into topics that you wouldn't expect her to. Look at User:RexRowan/Turnbull Thomson Park. The park is in a tiny city in New Zealand, I chose it using a "finger in the map" technique, for an editor who lived in the city - hoping to help him learn how to write articles. I never expected it to become more than a few lines, but look how good a job Rex has done! She will be a valuable content creator if she can remember to be careful with paraphrasing, and as you know, that gets you a long way on wikipedia. WormTT(talk) 09:05, 20 September 2012 (UTC)
Thank you very much Worm, I know I get carried away sometimes and please do buzz me if I went lalaland again. I have found out the weather of the park, it is wet and stormy, subject to the oceanic climate. Also, I think the trees we saw in the council plan were cabbage trees but can not verify it, from the details mentioned in the council plan, locals collect pine cones so there must be pine trees around the park, I'm not sure which type but I saw some photos of the junior soccer team, in the back ground, there are some wide and low type of pine. I would have been a detective if not a Wikipedian, it was always a flip of coin. :D --RexRowan(Ninja signal) 09:17, 20 September 2012 (UTC)

Hi, Before you add a {{stub}} to an article, please look to see if it already has a specific tag such as {{Basketball-stub}} as this one had (although it was in the wrong place: I moved it while removing your addition).

I didn't agree with your "too detailed" tag - this page is one of a whole series of "year in x" pages, which gather information of interest to certain readers, and no more detailed than others. (But the page was a visual mess, and I've hacked it around a bit to make it look less dreadful!) It's often going to be a bit subjective whether something is "too detailed", but I think most other editors would probably be with me on this one. (Not that I care in the least about basketball myself - I only found the article while stub-sorting. PamD 10:21, 20 September 2012 (UTC)

Oh, ok, thanks for pointing out to me. I thought the box was too long compare to the article but if it's needed by all means keep it. I think the box would look way better as a tab which can collapse on the bottom. --RexRowan(Ninja signal) 10:29, 20 September 2012 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for September 21

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Ffairfach, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Thomas Lloyd (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello and DYK

Hello, What an adorable picture of you and Rex Jr! You are both so adorable! I may put my picture up, too.

In the meantime: great news! The DYK for Autism Cymru was approved! See Template:Did you know nominations/Autism Cymru and it was the easiest DYK process ever! They thought the article was fine, didn't need any further editing and is good to go!--CaroleHenson (talk) 15:16, 21 September 2012 (UTC)

Wow, that is awesome! Congratulations to us!!! I have visited your website and love your photo! I have borrowed a few tools too. I wish one day to make my artistic skills to use in photography. I don't have a decent camera yet so I paint pictures. But every time I sell my paintings I always spend the money on food and toys for my sons. :D --RexRowan(Ninja signal) 15:37, 21 September 2012 (UTC)
Yep! (I love seeing your smiling face, by the way - I'm going to have to figure out how to post my picture in a way that it cannot be used other than for my user page).
Anyway, I saw that the DYK was promoted - which I think means that it's about to be posted to the Main Page. It's been awhile since I did a DYK, but I think it takes a day or two - it's not on there today - very likely soon, though! Congratulations again!--CaroleHenson (talk) 17:02, 22 September 2012 (UTC)
Oh, by the way - when it does get posted, you might want to save it on your user page, like: User:CaroleHenson#Did You Know (DYK) and Recognition--CaroleHenson (talk) 17:05, 22 September 2012 (UTC)
Thank you so much Carole, I can not tell you how much I appreciate your support, that you saved this article from deletion and put it under my name space despite you've done a great deal of work on it. Without you, I'll never be able to get on DYK myself with the poor writing skill I had. I stood on a giant's shoulder and I was amazed what I saw!

I uploaded my photo only on this wiki and stated for person use only. A lot of people think I'm a man or a man who refers himself as female because of my autism. I actually have an extreme male brain, but I uploaded my photo to show people I have real female body parts and can reproduce, to make it easier to understand why I work for women's rights. --RexRowan(Ninja signal) 17:21, 22 September 2012 (UTC)

As always, you're so sweet!
How did you upload the photo for just your use on your user page? I couldn't figure out how to do that. Thanks!--CaroleHenson (talk) 18:50, 22 September 2012 (UTC)
Click upload file on the left, fill in the form and choose to upload to this wiki only. I can do it for you if you like, I know your website. :D --RexRowan(Ninja signal) 19:18, 22 September 2012 (UTC)
That would be great! I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I'm not getting it!
Oh, cool! I have a couple of websites - but I'm guessing it's the writing / copyediting one. Yep, if you don't mind that would be wonderful! Thanks so much!--CaroleHenson (talk) 19:38, 22 September 2012 (UTC)
You are most welcome! Yes, I liked the pronunciation tool a lot, I wanted to find a Welsh one but they don't have it. The new house we are moving to is right next to another nature reserve of a forest. We will be able to go to see it soon. :D --RexRowan(Ninja signal) 19:54, 22 September 2012 (UTC)
That will be so nice! If you're not next to the ocean, being next to a nature preserve is pretty darn good!--CaroleHenson (talk) 20:02, 22 September 2012 (UTC)
I feel like a female version of Tazan, hehehe :D --RexRowan(Ninja signal) 20:39, 22 September 2012 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Autism Hangout

Hello RexRowan,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Autism Hangout for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 15:42, 23 September 2012 (UTC)

Biodiversity of Wales

Good morning,

I just finished grouping the items from the see also into this template. Even though I really like the way the world "pops" with the background color - it's probably harder for people to see. I figured that you're the color expert here and might have some suggestions.

My thought about the sidebar navigation box (over the outline or template that goes way on the bottom is that: 1) this list collapses so it doesn't take too much room, 2) it's in a place that will be easier for people to see it and hopefully dig into the topics a bit.

I did my best at trying to group the information - starting with the basic framework from Template:Evolutionary biology and tweaking it a bit - based on the types of items that were in the see also columns. I'm hoping that this is user-friendly - and that it would be useful to add to other articles about biodiversity.

What do you think?--CaroleHenson (talk) 04:27, 25 September 2012 (UTC)

See also --> Index of biodiversity articles

Also, since you had such a nice alphabetized list of "see also" topics, I created an index of biodiversity articles.

I've got work on it a bit to format it so that it takes up less room - and gets some more articles in there, but it's a really good start!!!

Here's that page: Index of biodiversity articles. I'm going to also add this to the sidebar navigation box/template.--CaroleHenson (talk) 04:45, 25 September 2012 (UTC)

Oh, by the way, when I was going to grab extra articles for the index I found that your user page was in the biodiversity category. So I just commented the categories out for now. Once the article is moved to article space, then the comments can be very easily removed.--CaroleHenson (talk) 06:26, 25 September 2012 (UTC)

Thank you very much! I enjoyed writing it! And thank you for going through my articles and review them! Much appreciated! :D --RexRowan(Ninja signal) 10:57, 30 September 2012 (UTC)

Really am sorry

Hi Rex. I'm really sorry I'm not around to help you at the moment. I'm sure I'll be fighting fit and back on my feet in a few months but just for the time being I'm really not a lot of use. It's infuriating, because there's so much I want to do on Wikipedia at the moment. Oh well, good luck with everything. WormTT(talk) 08:20, 1 October 2012 (UTC)

Hi Worm, thank you for messaging me. I got help from Carole. Do not worry about me. I am on the right track I think. My course starts today, I am about to download Python on my pc.
I was just really trying out and see to what length I have to write to get a GA mark. My Wales one got a C so not bad, I know if I write another one of Britain I have more stuff to put in so I may get a GA mark. The marks don't matter that much, I'm just testing the water so I know where I stand in an assessment by the administrators. :D --RexRowan(Ninja signal) 08:27, 1 October 2012 (UTC)

Biodiversity

Hi,

Wow! You're making great progress!!!

Sorry I've been out of touch - I've just been able to poke in and work on short articles for a period. I took a look at Biodiversity of Wales - and wow! is it coming along!

I see that you nominated it for a Good Article and a DYK - both are great ways of having the article get attention - and get it reviewed.

Right now, with what's going on I'm having a hard time processing large articles - but I can take a look at a section at a time if there's something specific you'd like me to look at for the Biodiversity article.--CaroleHenson (talk) 21:41, 30 September 2012 (UTC)

Hi Carole, thank you very much for getting in touch! I know you are busy so don't worry. I was just poking around trying out different functions. I saw the article got a C, so still a long way to go to get to FA. But GA maybe possible if I put a little extra effort in. :D --RexRowan(Ninja signal) 08:05, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
Ok, sounds good! It looks to be really coming along! Good luck with your schooling!--CaroleHenson (talk) 15:39, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
Hi Carole, my teachers asked me to pimp their course to my friends. It is free if you would like to study too! You can get a real certificate also we are allowed to help each other out. Anyway, this is the link: [7] :D --RexRowan(Ninja signal) 15:46, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
I am so glad you found the program, it seems interesting. It's not a good fit for where I'm trying to go now, but I appreciate the offer.--CaroleHenson (talk) 20:05, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
