Buildings and structures / NRHP categories[edit]

Not all National Register of Historic Places properties are buildings and structures; they can also be sites, districts, or objects, so Category:National Register of Historic Places in Foo County shouldn't logically be under Category:Buildings and structures in Foo County. I'd fixed that for some of Minnesota but hadn't got round to all; I'll clean them up and then any NRHP property articles can stay in both cats. -McGhiever (talk) 00:47, 8 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@McGhiever: No strong opinion on my end, since the vast majority are buildings and structures but, as you point out, that's not true of all of them. I'd encourage you to raise this at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject National Register of Historic Places since this is a broad issue with the parent categories. I'm happy to hold off on pulling any Minnesota NRPH listings out of Category:Buildings and structures in Foo County so we're not working at cross purposes! - RevelationDirect (talk) 01:00, 8 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Biddle House[edit]

Hi, I know that you are a conscientious editor on Wikipedia. I have seen your work. You have moved the category of an article, and I would like to revert your change, but would like to give you the chance to see this message first. The article is Biddle House (Mackinac Island), and you have moved the article to a category reserved for contributing properties to an overall resource on the national Register of Historic Places. The Biddle House is indeed a contributing property, but Mackinac Island, the set of properties to which it contributes, is a National Historic Landmark, not a NRHP site. @Bigturtle: Oops! I was editing too fast and used the wrong category, which I have now fixed, since it doesn't appear to be individually listed on the NRHP.
