King's Knight article[edit]

I only just realized that my last edit reverted your own. However, I strongly believe it should stand as is. The difference between Square Co., Ltd. and Square Soft, Inc. (Square's North American subsidiary) is very much like the difference between distinguishing the publishers Square Co., Ltd. and Square Electronic Arts (for Square's PlayStation games released in North America). Furthermore, the article's introduction addresses the publishers, stating that the game was the first to be published by Square's newly formed North American subsidiary. --Tristam 05:09, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I actually do support differentiating between "Nintendo of Japan" and "Nintendo of America." I think it is worthwhile; the NoA of yore imposed stringent censorship policies. So besides being factually correct, I think it is relevant. I kind of stick to editing Square game articles only though. Thanks for the congrats with regards to the GA, although I *really* need to clean that article up - it was my first one. My efforts with Chocobo Racing and 3-D WorldRunner are a lot better than King's Knight, and I was considering submitting them to GA (I think with some editing Chocobo Racing could even be FA, but maybe that's my optimism speaking). As I type I'm also overhauling the Final Fantasy Mystic Quest page, and I'm pretty close to being finished. I'm also about 70% done with the Square Co. page itself, and it's lookin' pretty hot right now (in preview only, of course :P). --Tristam 05:37, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've already gone and put in a request for Zap! at my library. They usually get interlibrary loans in quite quickly, so I should be able to see what we've got there quite soon. I'll also have a chunk of time of Wendesday, most likely, to give that copyediting a go. As for the bit about the returns, perhaps it can be integrated just with an "according to" clause. I'll check it out. In the meantime, I'll be commenting on the article's talk page as I work. Sorry the FAC wound up going poorly, but it's really coming along, and the improvements made during the FAC debate really make a difference, IMHO. I admit my bias -- I really like to see featured CVG articles in the best shape possible. :) -- Lee Bailey^(talk)

Page moves[edit]

Please read Help:Moving a page - and note that copy-pasting content to a new title is never appropriate, if there is something blocking a move destination, follow Wikipedia:Requested moves. Also, when you can see that the page has moved in the past, it's basic common sense to drop a note on the talk page before doing destructive move actions. --zippedmartin 10:03, 28 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

And in related news, when moving a page, remember (as reminded by the success page) to use What links here to check for double redirects, which need correcting. Anyway, current location seems fine - the reason the English title is less fine is that Legend [of the] Eight Samurai is a kinda-valid translation of 八犬伝, if you take the implied 士 and leave the 犬 - google comes down for the 1983 film adaptation under that name, but I doubt life is as clear offline. --zippedmartin 18:37, 29 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
