I am not affiliated or employed with YTB. I have been interested in the travel industry and noticed that the YTB wikipedia page was incorrect and had only negative aspects about YTB. So I just wanted to add a few positive things and correct the incorrect information. The information that is currently displayed is incorrect information about YTB. The information that I added is correct information I gathered from numerous articles and directly from the YTB's Investor Relations website.

I would also like to point out that if you read the information about YTB, it is all negative information that has been added by their competitors to make them look bad. So isn't that a conflict of interest?

Parkwood Hills

Hi. I'm a contributor in the UK and I'm just letting you know that I'm about to re-create Parkwood Hills which you deleted in 2007. I have some friends in Parkwood Hills, regular local residents, who want to join Wikipedia and contribute to a page on their locality. I'll re-create the page for them, and put a few basics on it to help prevent immediate deletion. I should be most grateful if you could kindly let me know of any problems with the page before any serious deletion-type tagging happens, so that I can help put it right. Hi YI think you've just deleted an article about Vice Admiral Sir Philip Watson. The artical was deleted ‎due to (G12: Unambiguous copyright infringement: [www.hmscollingwoodofficersassociation.co.uk/thegreenie/chapter14.htm]) I have asked HMS Collingwood Officers Association for permission to use the extract and they have said yes. If you need a copy of the email to prove this please let me know.

Yes, we do need the permission forwarding. Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission explains how, with the exact form required further down the page. Remember, text is not just being released to Wikipedia, it is being released to the world for reuse commercially online and in print with no controls possible on how it is used and by whom. It appears to be a copyright violation/mass-spamming campaign (identical text appearing [2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11] and in many, many other places). Then the material is being plagarized. This is a copyright violation: taking other peoples' work and reusing it without permission or payment or credit. Being a non-profit does not stop you having a conflict of interest. WP:CONSENT shows the wording you need to use when you email Wikipedia with your irrevocable release of the text for any further use including commercial. ➲ redvers throwing my arms around Paris 14:20, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
Comment via WP:COIN: ... bearing in mind that even if the text is released, it's generally not advisable that Wikipedia uses verbatim text from such sources. The whole NOE statement is rather "bureaucratspeak" in style, and may well contain non-neutral phraseology (for instance, "They aim to overcome the fragmentation of European research" assumes, without proof, that European research is fragmented). Thanks, Amory! I redirected the article because it didn't qualify for CSD but also wouldn't survive AfD. A redirect is quicker and doesn't bite as much. RfD really should revert back to the article, then AfD it. But then Wikipedia would be eating itself. Better to let RfD delete it out of process rather than me deleting it out of process. 'fraid not. Because the battle was between a registered account and an IP address, semi-protection would have decided the matter in favour of the account over the IP. So the page has been fully protected for a week and can only be edited by uninvolved administrators. You can, however, put the template {{editprotected}} on the talk page of the article, together with a detailed request of the edit you're wanting to be made (or the revert, but explaining why your revert is unrelated to edit war). ➲ REDVERS Buy war bonds 09:56, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

Your edits were unproductive -- comments on the article rather than actual improvements -- and you were warring over keeping them there. If you weren't hiding behind your changing IP address, you would've been blocked (as it is, this is still possible, but we seek to try to prevent the collateral damage). Autism Every Day

I can't figure out all the wiki processes (3rd party, RFC, etc) and what to do first, second, etc. Could you help with assessing this situation? The comments I put at the Admin Notice Board were my intro to the situation. I also requested several days ago the input from well know autism article editors SandyGeorgia and Eubuldies but the tendentious editor isn't waiting for them, nor for the matter to be discussed in Talk before in the Article. WOnderin gif you can help with this process. Sandy and Eubl know about this film Autism Every Day and the various discussions about it. The editors statements and interpretations of text are very poor...please see my comments at the articles Talk (links provided at my Admin Notice Board post.--GzRRk 4 (talk) 22:23, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

This block

Hi and thanks for this block. I just wanted to be sure you noticed that this is the same person who has already been blocked for 3 months for abuse as you can see at User talk:24.229.244.235 and User talk:24.229.233.239 based on talk page posts and interests. The person was also blocked at User talk:Kikimaya123456789 for editing around a block. Nothing whatsoever has changed with the change in IP being used. Just wanted you to know it won't change after 72 hours and technically, it's editing in violation of a block. Wildhartlivie (talk) 23:11, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, I saw that. But they're on PenTeleData cable and the IP ranges available to them are large and seem dynamic. So a longer block just forces them to hop IPs. A better thing to try might be long-term semi-protection of the target articles, just to throw hurdles in their path in the hope that they get bored. ➲ REDVERS It sucks to be me 07:26, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
