I just noticed this morning that the Sydney Newman article I've been working on suddenly has a blue link to Howard Thomas instead of a red one. Thanks for the welcome, I was wondering a thing about Esperanza projects; I've been running a personal project to wikify a random article a day, would this be something that could be proposed for Esperanza projects?
I'm keeping track of them on my user page using a calendar, I thought it'd be a nice thing to adopt an article for a moment, brush it up, learn something, put it on the watchlist and watch it grow, it's also a good way to find something to do if you're bored.
Is this fit for Esperanza, or does it have to be more of a user interaction type of project?

Just to let you know with regards to your map of the Harrogate Line that the location of "Leeds Woodside" station has ben shown on the map as being located between the current Headingley and Burley Park stations. This is incorrect and should actually be located between Horsforth and Headingley railway stations. Also I believe this station will possibly reopen in the near future according to the following link from the Yorkshire Evening Post newspaper so if you could modify the map for these changes then this would be great. --Wrh1973 21:49, 11 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again Esperanzians! Well, since our last frolic in the realms of news, the Advisory Council has met twice more (see WP:ESP/ACM2 and WP:ESP/ACM3). As a result, the charter has been ammended twice (see here for details) and all of the shortcuts have been standardised (see the summary for more details). Also of note is the Valentines ball that will take place in the Esperanza IRC channel on the 14th of February (tomorrow). It will start at 6pm UTC and go on until everyone's had enough! I hope to see you all there! Also, the spamlist has been dissolved - all Esperanzians will now recieve this update "newsletter".
The other major notice I need to tell you about is the upcoming Esperanza Advisory Council Elections. These will take place from 12:00 UTC on February 20th to 11:59 UTC on February 27th. The official handing-over will take place the following day. Candidates are able to volunteer any time before the 20th, so long as they are already listed on the members list. Anyone currently listed on the memberlist can vote. In a change since last time, if you have already been a member of the leadership, you may run again. Due to the neutrality precident, I will not vote for anyone.

I suppose you could get all technical and describe the number of lines and aspect ratios that NWDR introduced? It's a pity we're not speaking of colour TV - didn't the Germans contribute to the development of the PAL standard for Europe after deciding the American NTSC could REALLY be improved upon? And how compatible was the system that NWDR introduced? Responding to your private message regarding links I posted to fabgearusa.com in Gerry Anderson related entries - they are not strictly commercial links. Fabgearusa.com maintains an online community forum and links page for fans of the tv series and movies produced by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson as well. The links were added to enrich the experience of Wikipedia users looking for more informaiton on fandom for these shows, as well as merchandise.
I do plan on contributing information to Wikipedia, but haven't begun to do so yet - adding the links was a way of making the entries more valuable to surfers.
I hope you'll leave the links on the pages.

Thank you for letting me know.. Users may have a particular bias for or against some aspect of an article that leads them to categorise in a certain way.. Is there an easy procedure to follow when finding a category to use, and to reference on the fly?

Thank you for confirming what I thought.. I used a precedent approach, ie I thought BBC is synonymous with CNN is some respects, hence my tagging BBC with a like category..
The delay in introducing TV to South Africa was a form of censorship, thats why I have tagged those two articles, ie SABC and Television in South Africa with that category..
I hear one must be bold on Wiki, so I know there are plenty of experts around who have plenty of time to fix things eventually..
It is interesting thinking about the modus operandi of all the types and roles of Wiki people..

Dear Redvers. Fred Dineage is a friend of my family. Puzzled by the widespread misspelling of his name in Wiki I went back to an original error made on the site you refer to as the authority for the spelling "Dinenage". It doesn't matter to Fred - the most unegotistical of men - but it did trouble me which is why I went through Wiki changing the incorrect "Dinenage" to "Dineage". "Dinenage", incidentally, is also a name e.g. the ex-Tory MP for an area near Southampton I think) but you may wish to do the work of re-re-correcting - in the interests of accuracy and good manners. It's a salutory reminder to go back to original sources. I've made that mistake myself enought times to have learned my lesson, but perhaps i should have contacted you first to say what i was doing as it can be vexing to have one's conscientious work unpicked by a stranger - one of the feastures of Wiki. Shall I give you Fred's phone number (I would need to ask him first) so you can check directly? Fred was a colleague of my stepfather Jack Hargreaves on the children's programme "How" and gave a moving talk at my stepfather's memorial service in 1994. Sibadd 19:04, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I have made a fool of myself! Redvers spelling is of course right and I appreciate the way that with great politeness he has swiftly corrected my careful re-editing of Fred Dinenage's name which I'd changed to "Dineage" - the way it's pronounced. I thought that because I knew Fred I knew how to spell his name. Instead I realise now that he was too good mannered to correct me! What a gentleman; Redvers too for being so cool about it. Thank you Redvers. I've already learned a valuable lesson about checking sources. I really like the way Wiki works so quickly in this respect. There are errors in academic literature that go uncorrected for far longer because once in text they are unchangeable. I have passed on the correct spelling to Paul Peacock who is writing Jack Hargreaves biography to ensure when he touches on Jack's role in "How" he doesn't misspell Fred's name.
