Hello Heather! This could be our shared place for the article before going live on March 10th (according to the syllabus). I suggest we could have the following sections for the "Gun Control in Texas" article, we can change them as much as we want. I would love to have as many charts and tables as possible because later we can use them for our policy analysis memo and presentation. --Realpolitikz (talk) 18:28, 16 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I think we should go with footnotes instead than references if we want to get to good article faster and better!

Hi Santiago I've added a bunch of "see also" articles. At this point I'm just adding anything related to guns, gun politics, gun violence, or Mexican drug cartels I figured we can edit this once we have a better focus on the scope of our write up.

Yes Heather that is great! I am also including a list of WEB sources that have very useful information and statistics that can be useful later on.

Hello there! I am going tomorrow on a ski trip to Vermont (taking advantage of the long weekend). I will try to read some of the related wiki articles but I don't see myself making any edits during the weekend. I will pick it up on Tuesday. See you later! --Realpolitikz (talk) 20:39, 18 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hey! I hope you had a fun ski trip! I should have let you know that I was also away for the long weekend, so I didn't get a chance to add any edits. However, I plan to continue reading related wiki articles to prep for tomorrow's meeting. See you soon! --hmring
Hi. I am overwhelmed about all the information regarding this topic. I managed to get around 15 academic papers (Duke, Princeton, Oxford, etcetera) and I uploaded them to Dropbox. I also want to get the latest statistics to see some trends in gun ownership and crime but I don't know where to start... it's just too much! Even though, by this week we were supposed to have three main things: (1) list of associated articles, (2) bibliography of relevant sources and (3) a general introduction. I think that we should try to work on the later really hard to get us started. --Realpolitikz (talk) 04:33, 23 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. The information is definitely overwhelming, but I think once we finalize our flow, we should have a better idea of where to focus. Are we still meeting at 4:15 today? I reserved room 325 just in case. I have some thoughts on how to tackle this, and we can also put a game plan together to make sure we finish all the deliverables for this week. --hmring —Preceding undated comment added 19:11, 23 February 2011 (UTC).[reply]

Hello there! I added an image which took a huge amount of time to make and upload and it does not even look nice. Even though, I will try to make some more edits before our meeting tomorrow. --Realpolitikz (talk) 07:27, 2 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Santiago! Here's a quick update on what I hope to have completed by our next meeting (on March 9th)
♦A more complete (and better written)history section
♦A few points/citations for each of the bullets under the Gun Control(Public Policy)section
I will be away for the week of spring break, so I'm hoping to add as much substance as I can before Friday, March 11th. --hmring —Preceding undated comment added 21:22, 2 March 2011 (UTC).[reply]
