Hey Julianna, your sandbox is looking really organized. I like how you have put your headings as the assigned weeks and how you put your plans under that week as to what you wanted to revise. Something I would like you to consider is to add some context behind the two figures provided and consider whether these images are open from a public website or if it is copyrighted. Hi there Julianna,

I think you have a great idea of where you are going with your edits, your draft is well organized and I can see the flow of your thinking. - From what I can tell, your main focus is going to be the ‘Bat Flight’ page, and that you want to add on to the evolution segment, as well as tissues necessary for bat flight. From what you wrote, I think it would be a great idea to link the ‘Bat’ article to the ‘Bat Flight’ especially since they share similar information. I think a good place for linking it would be somewhere in ‘Adaptations for flight’ section? I also agree that it is a good idea to add onto the ‘Adaptations for flight’ section.

- I also think, adding more photos to this article would be beneficial, especially for depicting the ‘Wing chord.’ From an outsider perspective, I am not sure what a leading edge to a trailing edge is. So, I think if you added a picture to this section, depicting what that is, could help future readers. Perhaps also adding a picture for the ‘Wingtips’ section as well, to model different types of tips in association with flight speed. Also, it would be super interesting to get real photos from lab, I think you should really try to do this! I think the images you posted at the bottom of the page are important, and would be a good addition to the article.

- The source you have for ‘Fibers’ [1] is credible, and I just wonder where you would fit this information into the ‘Bat Flight’ article. Possibly make a new section on how the skin helps with locomotion? – If it’s not too similar to the ‘Bat’ article’s section on tissues.

- For your second citation [2], ‘Bat Conservation Trust,’ I’m sure this is credible, but I would still be weary of citing in your actual edits since it is not a peer reviewed journal article. I would also be careful on your third citation, ‘How Bats Work’ since this is also a website.

- Another thing to consider, looking at the ‘Bat Flight’ article, it does not have a strong lead, and there is no citation for the lead. So, you could possibly add on to this portion of the article as well.

Overall, I think the content you presented it neutral, there is a clear structure where you want to take this article, you have linked to other relevant pages as well (Bat). And I do think you and Javad are integrating the information thoughtfully since you seem to both be working on different aspects of the same article.

Hi Juilianna,

I really enjoyed reading your edits and you have some great ideas on how to edit the Bat flight and Bat, specifically the wings and flight section of the Bat page. The material is very neutral from what I can see and the drafting is very organized. I love the images that you created because they give a good visual representation of the content that you are editing. Looking that the Bat flight article all of the information that you want to edit will be a good addition to the article because it does lack some information. I see a place that says [citation] after a proposed revision, but I don't see an actual citation, unless it is one of the six at the bottom. All of this information is very interesting and I loved reading it, but I haven't seen anything that could correlate with my project because we have two different species.
