You have incorrectly linked "Cartan formula" to this page! The "Cartan formula" (or "Cartan's magic formula") is standard terminology in differential geometry, where it interrelates the exterior derivative, the Lie derivative, and contraction with a vector field. This formula, which Raoul Bott called "the most important formula in differential geometry," is due to Elie Cartan, rather than his son Henri. The paper where it first appears is," Les systèmes différentiels extérieurs et leur applications géométriques" Please correct this link!
