Welcome[edit]

Hello, Pixiejenkins, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I notice that one of the first articles you created appears to be an article about yourself. This is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians—as this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. Your user page, however, is a great place to write about yourself, making sure to stay within user page guidelines. Just click your user name at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and edit it normally.

The page you created about yourself has been or will shortly be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, but if you want to use the content from it, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Filing Flunky (talk) 11:53, 28 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Pixie Jenkins has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Pixie Jenkins requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Contested deletion[edit]

This page should not be speedy deleted as an unambiguous copyright infringement, because... I am the copywrite holder and am only trying to get myself into the wikien.

I am Australia's best known fiddle player (for a start) and was shocked to not find an entry here when there are lesser known individuals already having articles published.

Could you please inform me of the best way that a proper listing can be entered..or NOT delete mine as I was about to edit it to fit your article guidelines.

Contested deletion[edit]

This page should not be speedy deleted as an unambiguous copyright infringement, because... I am the OWNER of that website and its copywrite....so I give myself permission to copy it here.

Copyright[edit]

Please see WP:COPYVIO, which explains how licensing copyright text and/or images works. here's more to it than just saying on a talkpage that you are the owner. Please also see WP:AUTOBIO and WP:BAND (which covers soloists as well...), and WP:RS concerning the reliable independent sources which are needed to back up any claim to notability (without which, there's no call for an article). Please note that your own site is not considered a reliable independent source. It may be 100% accurate, but so many aren't that we reject the lot. Getting a page about myself on wikipdia[edit]

Hello.

My name is Pixie Jenkins, I'm a 40 year veteran of in Australian country music and am wanting a page on wikipedia. I have written somethings in my sandbox, following the guidelines as best I can.

All my attempts so far have been deleted for a various reasons.

I'm wondering if there is any one who can help me submit as I think a page about me would be suitable for inclusion.

Hello. Thank you those people for helping with this page. There are a lot of important country musicians mentioned that area unlinked as they have no page. I'm not sure what the protocol is here. There is plenty of evidence of their works and importance to the music industry available. Pixie Jenkins 12:15, 13 May 2017 (UTC)

August 2012[edit]

Please do not write or add to an article about yourself, as you apparently did at Pixie Jenkins. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Main Page talk page[edit]

Comments or concerns about an article should go on the talk page of the relevant article; the Main Page talk page is for discussing the operation and content of the Main Page. Thank you. 331dot (talk) 11:27, 23 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
