Your edits to Steve Balderson[edit]

Please read the policies what Wikipedia is not and Biographies of living persons. Wikipedia is not an advertising forum; it is an encyclopedia, and entries must follow this format. Also, can you provide some independent sources corroborating your information? (See WP:CITE, WP:REF, and WP:RS). Thanks! - CobaltBlueTony 15:49, 25 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is not an advertising or promotional forum. Steve Balderson's article must be biographical and adhere to WP:BIO. Read the pages of other famous living people to see what is expected. The named subject of the article should be the focus; simply plugging the notabilty of his films is not biographical. - CobaltBlueTony 13:17, 30 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! - CobaltBlueTony 15:51, 25 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I will try to help out tomorrow. - CobaltBlueTony 21:08, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:Firecracker-movie2.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Firecracker-movie2.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Siva1979Talk to me 20:03, 2 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image tagging for Image:SteveBalderson.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:SteveBalderson.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Images on the Wikimedia Commons[edit]

2 images on the Commons Image:XPepSquad-poster.jpg and Image:XPhoneSex-dvd.jpg are in danger of being deleted. I think they're really valuable images and this would be a great pity. The issue seems to be that that the author is Steve Balderson and you are not him. This would normally require a written (usually emailed) permission from the author to you, which you would then post to the OTRS (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). It's all because the Commons and Wikipedia are being bombarded with pirated images by thousands of idiots from around the world and have put in rules to try and keep these out. If you follow the links to either image and leave a message for the admins involved, I'm sure they'll help sort the situation out. --Simon Speed 01:41, 4 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I just had Steve email this:

Dear Commons at Wikipedia - Please let user "Pipistrello2004" aka Ella Spencer post any images of me or my movies. She is my personal assistant. See note below. Thanks Steve Balderson P.S. It looked like FIRECRACKER cover was also removed.

Will this work? Ella Spencer 15:46, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have contacted a helpful administrator. I'll wait and see. --Simon Speed 23:12, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The article Frankie Krainz has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
