The July 7th Truth Campaign[edit]

J7 is not a personal vendetta against Peter Power, it is a political campaign to release the evidence about what happened in London on July 7th 2005.

Releasing the evidence of the exercise conducted by Visor Consultants on that date is only one part of our campaign. We believe that the public interest in events which resulted in death and injury for so many people overrides the commercial interest of Visor's client that requires secrecy.

We do, in fact, understand that the scenario for that exercise may well have been a reasonable one to have chosen in the light of the history of London. What we do not understand is why, if the scenario elements were really so unremarkable, Peter Power made such a fuss about them in news reports on BBC Radio 5, ITN and the Manchester Evening News on July 7th 2005. Why did he consider them so newsworthy on that date, yet ever since has claimed that there was nothing remarkable at all about them?

Likewise, if there was nothing untoward about Peter Power's career with Dorset Police, we do not understand why it has been concealed. None of the profiles we have found on the internet even mention that he ever worked there and, in the case of the BBC, Panorama London Under Attack (May 2004) explicitly stated that he worked for the Metropolitan Police until 1992 and for BET Group Security from 1992.

As I said to Patrick56, if you can give us any assistance in obtaining documentary evidence that the CPS decided not to prosecute as a result of the file passed to them by Dorset Police, we undertake to obtain and publish it (our own search for this evidence has been fruitless).

The truth (if it is as you claim it to be) would kill both of these stories dead, so why not provide the evidence for your claims?

You may say that you are not answerable to J7, but so long as you serve, by your news media appearances, as a propagandist for an increasingly secretive and repressive state we consider you a legitimate subject for our scrutiny. Cmain (talk) 11:37, 27 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

So I am a "propagandist for an increasingly secretive and repressive state". Gosh.--Peterpowervisor (talk) 21:45, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
J7 has obtained the Western Gazette (4/11/93) and Dorset Echo (5/11/93), as well as FOI responses from CPS, which confirm that you were not prosecuted, and that the issue was expense claims for meals. I am astonished that anyone could face prosecution for such a minor matter. I am also surprised that you advocate repressive measures such as 90 day detention if you have been a victim of the legal (note that I do not say justice) system yourself.
