Conflict of interest[edit]

Hi, it appears that you are editing an article the subject with which you are closely associated. Please read the page on conflict of interest editing, which is strongly discouraged. LadyofShalott 05:30, 16 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The information for the Pete the Cat page is very inaccurate for the character. We would like to get the right information out there. The information on the page is more suitable under a page specifically for the book it mentions not the character. How do we go about getting the right information out there???

As your username seems to show a conflict of interest, what you should do is propose on the article talk page the changes you would like to see, and see whether there is agreement (we call it WP:Consensus) with other users to make them. JohnCD (talk) 09:21, 16 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The current article is not inaccurate; it just is about the book. Now it is quite possible that we could move the current article to Pete the Cat (book) or to a longer version of the book's title and put a new article about the character here. What I suggest is you work on a draft in your userspace here: User talk:Pete the cat official/Pete the Cat. Once that is in shape, we can make the appropriate page moves to put it into the main article space. I'll also note that what you had put in the Pete the Cat article will not do. It was in first person, which is not what we use for encyclopedia articles. Please ask more questions as they occur to you. :) LadyofShalott 12:11, 16 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
