IP editors[edit]

In general, there's no requirement you have an account to edit Wikipedia. Editors are free to edit anonymously using their IP address. Blocks are only put in place to stop vandalism or other types of disruptive editing. Additionally, only Wikipedia's administrators can block editors from editing.
