Please help me with... Can I please have some help about a draft i am working on? does it really violate the wikipedia terms in any way? here is the link to my sandbox: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:P20exar
Thank you in advance P20exar (talk) 18:00, 1 October 2023 (UTC)
- @P20exar: Hi there! Your user page should not be used as a sandbox. You can move the page to a sandbox or Draft:Ilias Bountouris. I've made some edits to your draft, so you can see how wikilinks work. I don't know how many of your references are independent reliable sources that provide significant coverage of Ilias Bountouris. If you have a conflict of interest, then you must declare it on your talk page (instead of the draft). Happy editing! GoingBatty (talk) 19:37, 1 October 2023 (UTC)
- GoingBatty thank you so much for your help and edits. My references are independent reliable sources, mostly newspaper articles and the national library of Greece site, that confirms the books ISBN, so I believe the draft is ok by this point of view. I don't have any kind of conflict of interest, as it is decribed in the link, so I think I can move on with the draft. P20exar (talk) 19:33, 9 October 2023 (UTC)
- @P20exar: 14 of your references are by Ilias Bountouris - those are not independent sources. In several of those references, you have
|last=Ilias
|first=Bountouris
instead of|last=Bountouris
|first=Ilias
. Happy editing! GoingBatty (talk) 21:21, 9 October 2023 (UTC)- Thank you so much for noticing the first - last mistake. I had done it to reporters names too. I've corrected them. The 14 references are not by an Ilias Bountouris web page, they are from https://biblionet.gr/ the national library of greece webpage and are refering to his books P20exar (talk) 22:01, 9 October 2023 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of User:P20exar[edit]
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. A tag has been placed on User:P20exar requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. The article Ilias Bountouris has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Pretty clear self-promotion article of an author with no assertion or evidence of notability. Did a Google search of the author in Greek, and hit on nothing but self-celebratory material from blurbs of his works.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Constantine ✍ 23:11, 23 March 2024 (UTC)
- Please take into consideration the following references before deciding that this is self-celebratory material.
- The article only focuses on one aspect of this persons work, his Author work, rather than self-celebrating.
- In fact this person has been engaged in some pretty interesting projects trying to save and promote Greek cultural heritage. See below reference about Politistiko Parko Xrysalida
