Dignity photo[edit]

Lovely photo! However, for us to use it on WP, we have to get permission. Could you try to contact the photographer about licensing? The photographer would have to agree to some variety of Creative Commons licensing. The various types are on the files/photos pages. If we can't get permission the file will have to be removed, unfortunately. If you can't get permission, maybe a flickr search or similar photo upload service would turn up some photos with a Creative Commons license. Thanks for your work on the article! - CorbieV 16:43, 19 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

User:CorbieVreccan I believe I do have the necessary permissions. What do I need to do to designate it as such on this page? I see that the picture has already been erased. I hope you can tell me what I need to do to quickly get it back up, as I believe I have the necessary permissions and just do not know how to indicate that. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on File:Dignity-statue-Chamberlain-SouthDakota.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from {{{value1}}}. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Thomas Jefferson High School[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your edit to the disambiguation page Thomas Jefferson High School. However, please note that disambiguation pages are not articles; rather, they are meant to help readers find a specific article quickly and easily. From the disambiguation dos and don'ts, you should:

  • Only list articles that readers might reasonably be looking for
  • Use short sentence fragment descriptions, with no punctuation at the end
  • Use exactly one navigable link ("blue link") in each entry
    • Only add a "red link" if used in existing articles, and include a "blue link" to an appropriate article
  • Do not pipe links (unless style requires it) – keep the full title of the article visible
  • Do not insert external links or references

Thank you. Leschnei (talk) 22:04, 7 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
