The correct definition of ISO (When related to the subject of raw images and digital photography)

On the 27 February 2013 Ioannis Ntizoglou (IT lecturer and owner of Alpha Design) and Lee Chadwick (IT lecturer and business consultant) had a discussion on the correct abbreviation of ISO (When related to the subject of raw images). After thorough and long analysis they concluded that the best abbreviation for ISO is: ‘Intelligent Synchronisation Overlay’. The reasons they gave to support their abbreviation are as follows: Intelligent: Smart way to improve captured snapshots. Synchronisation: Adjust the camera settings based on the current environment Overlay: The way the information is stored / written to disk. The higher the ISO rating is, the more layers are applied (This means that the noise of the image will be increased). Using optimised ISO settings will improve the quality of your snapshots/videos but using less appropriate ISO settings will result in a picture with a lot of noise. more information can be found: http://alpha-design.co.uk http://www.salford-col.ac.uk/ --Ntizoglou (talk) 04:36, 28 February 2013 (UTC) p[reply]

May the B-Theta be with you![edit]

May the B-Theta be with you! A phrase created on the 24/11/2019 by Ioannis Ntizoglou (College and University IT, Computing and Games lecturer). To understand the phrase, we need to understand the facts behind the B-Theta symbol which was also invented, designed, and created by Ioannis Ntizoglou on the 24/11/2019. In Binary the number zero (0) is placed in the following format: "00000" and the number nine is placed in the following format: "01001". The B-Theta contains both binary digits, the number zero and the number one (the number 1 is placed horizontally and within the centre part of the zero, shaping the Greek letter, Theta. The letter Theta is the 8th letter in the Greek alphabet plus the horizontal number 1 makes the total sum of nine. The B-Theta therefore represents all 10 numbers in mathematics which are 0 to 9. The letter "B" stands for Binary and the letter "Theta" represents the two binary digits which are the zero & one (one is placed horizontally and within the letter zero). The picture below represents the B-Theta:

May the "B-Theta" be with you!

The phrase: "May the B-Theta be with you!" is used by gamers, software developers, game developers or any type of a competition where the numbers on a digital device are used to measure the success (e.g. timing a race on a stopwatch, getting the highest score on a video game, don’t have errors when coding a video game or a software application, etc). The phrase: "May the B-Theta be with you” is used to provide mental support and a wish to a successful outcome.
