Wikiproject AFL[edit]

G'day Normy, good effort on the articles you've helped out on, particularly Nathan Buckley. Also, welcome to WikiProject AFL. There isn't much info on the web about footy, especially great players from the past, let's hope we can expand it and make this site the number 1 source for AFL info. See you around, Rogerthat 13:01, 22 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Cheers for compiling that mate, brilliant stuff. Good to see you've expanded the very brief descriptions that I started. I think this is a sign the project is getting somewhere, because prior to this I have had miniscule input from others, but great work on the Football (Australian rules) positions article. Rogerthat 07:25, 23 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Drafts[edit]

G'day. I've recently obtained the rookie drafts on Excel for every year since 1997. HOw did you format the 2003 AFL Draft and 2004 articles so neatly? CHeers, Rogerthat Talk 02:09, 1 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi mate, just a question regarding the AFL Draft - in the 2005 AFL Draft for example, you have the picks from the 2004 Pre-season draft for the 2005 season...I believe that since the pre-season draft is now conducted in November, it should count as part of the 2004 AFL Draft? After all, there is no 2006 AFL Draft as of yet. Hope you understood that mate, Rogerthat Talk 02:32, 21 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Ahh, never mind mate, you were right. I think we should include the actual dates of the pre-season and actual drafts though to avoid confusion. Rogerthat Talk 02:45, 21 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject NBL[edit]

Hey Normy132/Archive 1. I am wondering if you would like to join WikiProject NBL. I believe that this is something that you might be able to help me with, by creating user boxes and player boxes for it or even adding articles about Players. Cheers. Jasrocks Talk

Ok that's Ok. Umm well I guess that I would like to get a results and table box running on the 2006/07 season sheet, and also make something that says tyhat this user is involved in WikiProject NBL. Also player boxes would be handy.
Hey Normy132/Archive 1. Thankyou for joining the NBL Project. Please check out this site and vote for the NBL Project, so that we are able to get more support for this project. Thanks Jasrocks 12:23, 18 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

AFL season article naming convention[edit]

As a participant of WikiProject AFL I thought you might be interested in this. I have started a vote to get a consensus on the naming convention for AFL season articles. You can participate in the discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject AFL#AFL season article naming convention. Cheers. Remy B 13:16, 16 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I was refering to edits done by 203.45.248.72 and Venables001, not yourself. I urge you to help me in cleaning up the page by the removal of the galleries and placing it with text. As it stands, the article does not need galleries of pictures for the names of events. It would be better suited to have it written out. Please help me in reverting these editors when they edit this article. Moe ε 19:51, 27 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe provide add a header to the Professional wrestling in Australia page that says Pay-per-views and provide a link to the WWE pay-per-views article. Moe ε 00:07, 29 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
A point was made that this page is for Wrestling information to do with Australia. Te PPV List is in Australian Dates and Times and is 100% justified in being there. PPV ordering information will also be added to the PPV area.
The site will soon be changed to include Amature and Olympic Wrestling so please infor all the Wikiwrestling guys of this change. All information will be relevent to Australia.

Please Assist, Wrestling Fans of Wikipedia![edit]

Me and the soon to be departing (hopefully not) Moe Epsilon are setting up a project to deal with the music of this great business. It will be Wikipedia:WikiProject Music of wrestling. Join if you are remotely interested - every little helps! Thanks. Kingfisherswift 17:09, 29 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello[edit]

Wow, you were actually an extra? I applied to be an extra in a film a little while ago, but I haven't had anything back yet (though the audition is still open - I live in hope). No, I don't have an agent, and all I've ever done is unpayed plays for various drama groups I belong to, but I have taken grade two and grade three drama exams and passed, so I suppose that's something. My userpage is awesome, isn't it? My friend, Will, did it for me, and it just looks fantastic. Of course we can be friends! Sergeant Snopake 08:56, 5 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I really enjoy acting and writing, they're my very favourite pastimes, but I also enjoy swimming very much, listening to music (particularly Paul Simon, but I really enjoy most folk music), and I have a part time job as a proofreader for self-published books. I also love cats, and have a nine-month-old birman called Dante (there's a picure of him on my user page). What are your hobbies?
Yes, Neighbours is quite popular in the UK, but I don't watch it (unless I really have nothing better to do), but I do watch Home and Away, which I really enjoy. It's nice having something light and exciting that you can watch everyday, and as long as you can remember it's soap-land (Angie Russel having an identical cousin? Come on), you can just enjoy it. I hope all goes well with your independent film! Sergeant Snopake 08:12, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I've had it for about half a year, and got into it because I started proofreading some books for friends. It was only a matter of time before I thought, 'hey, I could make some money out of this!', so I put an ad in the local paper, and from time to time someone sends me a book to read. Needless to say, I don't get much work (that's why it's part time; I don't get enough work for it to be full time!). I also love dogs. We have a ruby Cavalier King Charles spaniel that belongs to my mother, and a German Spitz Klein that belongs to my sister - the picture in the article is actually my sister's dog! I can't choose my absolute favourite film, I love Withnail and I and Young Frankenstein equally. I also love Ealing Comedies, my favourite being Kind Hearts and Coronets. I can't choose between my favourite TV shows either, I really like The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, Arrested Development, and Robin of Sherwood. My favourite book is A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, and my favourite food is Heinz treacle pudding. How about you? Sergeant Snopake 22:26, 7 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No, I do it independently - I don't think any actual business would want to sign me! Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if that was true about the C.K.C spaniels, Mab is certainly very stupid (but very, very cute with it!). I put the picture of the spitz klein on, as I didn't know any other pictures with the right licensing etc, but München is a perfect specimen, anyway! Your beagle sounds cute - I've heard that they're very wilfull dogs. Is that true? I got into wikipedia because my brother (all my siblings in fact, but I can't name them, as we don't want to affiliated with one another) is a wikipedian and he was telling me all about it, and I thought I'd join. Why did you get into it? Do you have any siblings? Sergeant Snopake 10:45, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, our dogs love to jump up, too, especially the C.K.C spaniel! You could always try Clicker training if you ever really needed to train her for something, it's effective and pretty easy. Yes, I love The O.C.! I don't watch much television (about 5 hours a week), but I always watch Smallville and The O.C. on monday and tuesday. I take it you're a fan? Are you a fan of Smallville, too?
I'm very interested in expanding my knowledge, but not in a school kind of way. I mean, what's more likely to help me in the future: the year that Queen Elizabeth I died, or the fact that in the UK, you can divorce someone for anything that you feel is unreasonable? That's much more likely to help me in real life!
Ten years later...
(Snopake is tied up over a large pool of acid)
Half-metalic villain: Now, I will let you go, if you answer one question: what year did Queen Elizabeth I die?
Snopake (thinking hard):Uhh...16...0...4?
(Half-metalic villain rises from his throne in delight) Half-metalic villain: Ha ha! It was 1603! Lower her into the pool of acid!
Snopake: No, I knew that, I really did! Please don- (lowered)
Not likely to happen. :) That's why I like wikipedia, you can learn all sorts of interesting things. Though, I didn't actually learn that divorce thing here (I read it somewhere...), but the preceding sentence implies that I did. ;) Sergeant Snopake 16:15, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm on the antipenultimate episode, I think, so I'm a little further ahead than you. I really like Taylor, I think she's a fantastic character, we haven't had a side character that's as good as she is for a long time. Isn't it awful when you have to ask your parent/teacher something embarassing like that? When you've got no other choice (some kind of embaressing problem, etc). That's just awful. Sergeant Snopake 09:28, 10 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What year...? Not sure, because I'm taught at home. Uh, year ten I should think (judging on all the books about school I've read). I don't have to do my exams until next year, which is when I'll be starting college. I'm really not looking forward to it, exams look so hard. Who do you think was/is the best O.C. side character? Sergeant Snopake 16:26, 11 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, in England, college is like high school. We don't start university either till we're about 18, but once we get to 16, we stop compulsory education and can leave school if we want. Yeah, Anna was pretty good, but I liked Alex, too. Don't you think Chili was really annoying? Both him and Johnny were, really. What's it like in Australia, weather-wise? What's the general temperature right now? You're having your winter at the moment, which is totally crazy to think about. Sergeant Snopake 08:11, 13 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well, we're having a heat wave at the moment, so it's been about 25-35 degrees for the last few days (it's not so hot today, about 22 or 23), which is very odd for England, we don't usually get this kind of weather till August! In the winter, it usaully goes down to minus something, but can be a little warmer than that (around 5-7, usually). Last winter it got down to -7! It was freezing. Hey, The O.C. is on tonight in the UK! What day is it on in Australia? Sergeant Snopake 10:43, 13 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Wow, that's hot! 40 degrees! I can't remember it ever being 40 degrees in England! Oh, and it turns out I had been counting wrong, we've just seen the antipenultimate, the next one's the penultimate. I haven't been following the world cup closely, but I have asked the 'watchers' to tell me the score at the end of each match. You must have been thrilled when Australia beat Japan! And they did it so well, too. It must be awful having it on so late, we have it on in the afternoons here. Sergeant Snopake 19:41, 14 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, it was a great match (one of the few that I've seen)! England is doing pretty good, surprisingly enough. I hope your friends enjoy their tour. Cricket is a fantastic game to play, but not a great game to watch. No, I don't live near any big cities, I live in the East Riding of Yorkshire, so no big cities but Hull. Do you enjoy living in Australia? Sergeant Snopake 15:25, 16 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It's great, actually. I can't really imagine myself living anywhere else. Even though people always complain about it being rainy in England, I love it. Maybe I'm weird, but I really like rain. And it doesn't rain all the time, for instance, it's not raining now (although the sky is looking threatening). It's really a very pretty country, and it's got so much history. There's a school in York that's been there since the 627! It's just amazing when you see things like that. I can't believe that I've taken up so much room on your talk page! I feel awful. An area in Central Australia. That's a pretty good idea, but I've heard it's boiling out there (and you've just confirmed that for me). My sister often says her room is like Australia because it's very big and all her stuff is pushed to the edges! I'd love to take a holiday to Australia, it looks fantastic, but the air fare is very expensive. I think we will though, eventually. I know I will. I'd hate to die without ever having been to Australia. Sergeant Snopake 16:02, 17 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Aussie Wrestling Pages[edit]

For The Australian Wrestling Events Results, may I suggest the name be "Australian WWE Shows" unless you plan to include every Aussie Wrestling show to the page including the current Wrestle-rock Show. I am also working on the histories of our house shows to add to that Page. About Wrestling in Australia when everyone else makes thier own freestyle wrestling pages, I will happily move the info onto a new page. Untill then I am keeping all the information together cause no one knows Australia has an Amature League outside Olympic competition. And when I get all my research uploaded you will find that Australia's Amature and Profession Leagues have a brother sister relationship with each other.

Signature[edit]

Well, what exactly did you want for a signature? Color, text change, anything specfic? If you give me an example of what you want, maybe I could be more of a help. ;-) The King of Kings 10:49, 7 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Something like this (an example):

<font color="CD2626">Nor</font><font color="3366FF">my</font><font color="2020C0">132</font>

Which turns out like this:

Normy132

Like this? The King of Kings 10:59, 7 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

OK, to set this as your signature go to my preferences (at the top of your screen). It while bring you to a screen that says User Profile and such. Go to the part that says Nickname and insert the code:
<font color="CD2626">Nor</font><font color="3366FF">my</font><font color="2020C0">132</font>

into the Nickname box. There is a checkbox that says Raw Signature. Make sure the box is checked. Then save and it will automatically be your signature.

As to how I managed to pick up differant signatures, well, I don't know how I did. I think I just copied everyone else. ;-) The King of Kings 11:16, 7 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No problem, if you ever have any more questions feel free to ask. ;-) The King of Kings 11:28, 7 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for alerting me. Your right, the last thing we need is him as an admin. I'll alert someone to better help the situation. I'll try to get it deleted if I can. The King of Kings 04:49, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yep, deleted. :) I just saw that project. I must say it is the biggest waste of space I have ever seen, but I'm afraid there is much we can do about it. You're not allowed to put userboxes on articles, so the most we can do, is remove them. :-( I'll look into this whole sockpuppet thing he has going though. As you remember, Wiki is not yours eiter. You need permission of the main players of the page to change it to anything. REMEMBER THAT. Moe has no power over us. He left. So get ur head out of his ass and do something useful for once.

Thanks for always being with me Normy. ;-) All of them are blocked now, so there won't be anymore threats made towards you, not while I'm around. :) I find it funny he left me a vandalism warning when I wasn't even editing, lol. Well, I hope this makes it easier for us to finally edit those articles in peace. -- The King of Kings 17:20, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry for the late reply :( I didn't think they would get blocked so quickly either. I thought it would be a while before I could prove that those users were up to no good. Maybe I should have mentioned this, but before I went on my long Wikibreak, I was suspicious of those users and got Fred Bauder to run a CheckUser for me, and it was proven that they were the same person. I already had the evidence to get them off Wikipedia in April, but I left. But look what happens 5 days when I returned. ;-) No problem with the team work, I'll always be here if you need me. So Cheers to you and to OzWrestlemaniac, because without the attack he made, we wouldn't have the proof that we needed ;-) -- from The King of Kings 03:06, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
