Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for the calculation of the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. Orphaned non-free image File:Bologna F.C. 1909 logo.png[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Bologna F.C. 1909 logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

February 2019[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Virtus Pallacanestro Bologna; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.
Stop reverting and discuss the matter here if you are unwilling to start a discussion per WP:BRD.Sabbatino (talk) 12:56, 23 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Sabbatino: Don't worry I perfectly know what an edit war is, but I must say that you firstly edited the page, changing a long-standing version of the team's logo without discussing at all, and in this cases, if somebody disagrees on your edits, you should start a discussion, not accusing the other of edit war. The fact is that the two logos are both used, and I can live with "your" one, but I think that the colors' shades are a bit different from the original version (see Facebook or LegaBasket). -- Nick.mon (talk) 13:05, 23 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Star's color is a gold more than a simple yellow, like in your version, and the black is a bit different too. -- Nick.mon (talk) 13:07, 23 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Well not really. You were the user who uploaded this logo, and you were the one who changed it. I only updated it to the correct version. Then you found some obsolete version and uploaded it. You are implying on using this version, which has the wrong shape for the star and is a poorer quality logo in general. This version is from the team's website and this version is from Lega Basket Serie A's website. They look almost exactly the same except for the shading and the white triangle-like shape around the star. The logo used on their Facebook account is different than the versions from the team's and Lega Basket Serie A's websites – the star is different, the black outline around it is narrower. However, the team's Facebook account uses the same white triangle-like shape around the star as the logo from the team's website. Bottom line is that the version from the team's website is the most accurate since the website is regularly updated, while Lega Basket Serie A's website does not really update logos often and the team's Facebook account is poorly maintained. – Sabbatino (talk) 13:22, 24 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Sabbatino: Well, if I remember well I uploaded a logo identical to "my" one but you uploaded a new version of the file, so it's quite different. Anyway, stop talking about the past :) As a Virtus fan, I must admit that the logo which I see more (and which I think it's more correct) is this one; which is basically identical to your one, but with the colors of mine. -- Nick.mon (talk) 17:27, 24 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I upload it, tell me if you think that could be good. -- Nick.mon (talk) 17:31, 24 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I cannot find a clear shot of what logo is being used on the court. However, I am not going to fight over the proposed version despite writing earlier about easily adjustable colors in the current version. – Sabbatino (talk) 18:54, 25 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Sabbatino: I find this one and it looks similar to "your" version :) -- Nick.mon (talk) 22:00, 25 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Help with past Italian Parliament diagrams[edit]

Hi Nick.mon! I have noticed that you have more experience with Parliaments diagrams, generated with this tool. You have maybe seen that I have been expanding / creating pages on the Italian legislatures (Legislature XVI of Italy for example), and I had to create Parliament diagrams for the final group composition of the Senate and Chamber of Deputies, instead of using the existing diagrams for the electoral results which are something different. However I am not sure about the correct order of the (centre) parties on the left-right spectrum and also about the colours I am using (for example many left groups have sometimes very similar shades of red and are not distinguishable on the diagram), so sometimes I had to adapt order and colours to make each party more visible (see this diagram where I had to make up the colour of SD). Do you have a strategy or a convention to make these diagrams? And in this case could I ask for your help in making these plots better? Thanks! --Ritchie92 (talk) 13:03, 11 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Ritchie92: Hi! Well, when it's possibile, I use meta colors, but when two parties have similar colors I try to change their shades, as you did. Regarding the political spectrum, unfortunately, I use quite arbitrary principle, from the far-left to the far-right, however this criterion is used in almost every diagrams, here in Wikipedia. -- Nick.mon (talk) 13:15, 11 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Update on Sardinian Regional Council graph[edit]

Yesterday the official website of the Regione Sardegna announced the final results, and some changes were made between the seats of the centre-right coalition. Could you update the graph of the Regional Council as well, if you have some time to spare?

I'd like to do it by myself but I'm not sure if you used the external tool of the parliamentary graph. --Broncoviz (talk) 12:38, 22 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I wasn't expecting that to leave a message. In case you are wondering, I did so because neither of the sources you included provide significant coverage of the movement (one doesn't mention it at all), but I wanted to give you time to fix that before tagging it. Source on a map you made[edit]

I saw you created the map with the results of the candidates of the Democratic Party leadership election, but I can't find the source of the data. --Broncoviz (talk) 11:38, 12 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Broncoviz Hi, I think I found it on the website of YouTrend, but I can't find it anymore... -- Nick.mon (talk) 08:43, 13 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I wouldn't trust YouTrend since they made a projection based on users' reports. Repubblica here said that Martina won in Salerno, Avellino and Benevento and here Repubblica reports that Martina won in Potenza. Both of these results are based on the final results. --Broncoviz (talk) 07:01, 15 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, maybe it was only a provisional results map. I'll update it immediately. -- Nick.mon (talk) 07:53, 15 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry to intervene, but I guess now any other province can be different, since sources appear to contradict. If there is no official source for the results, stating in one place all the results by province, I would simply remove the map. --Ritchie92 (talk) 09:22, 15 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Ritchie92 I was doing a table for regional results, and I can tell you already that I can't find the results in the southern regions. I can try making one for provinces too, but I can't guarantee it will be successful. If you have more luck for the five regions I miss, it would be easier to give a source to the map.--Broncoviz (talk) 11:21, 2 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Broncoviz: Thanks a lot for your effort, it looks like a big amount of work! When I have time I could try to look for the rest of the regions, for the time being I could not find reliable and precise results either. --Ritchie92 (talk) 11:56, 2 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Nick! A question: wouldn't it be better to have a map divided by constituency instead that by provinces and Regions in the infobox of 2018 Italian general election? --Ritchie92 (talk) 16:14, 16 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 24 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
