File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Alternate Pointe Du Hoc View.JPG[edit]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Alternate Pointe Du Hoc View.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. 07:57, 31 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for clarifying your authorship. To get everything wrapped up correctly, we'll just also need an explicit licensing statement. Could you please add something like "{{self|cc-by-sa}}"? Thanks, – Fut.Perf. 08:08, 31 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for November 21[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 2013 Orange Bowl, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page BCS (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Unfair copyright releases[edit]

You have released copyrights that you do not own for File:Baseball Manager.jpg and File:Don Shula Statue.jpg. Both are probably eligible for fair usage in articles on the artwork under WP:NFCC. You need to remove these from commons and post them on WP with appropriate fair usage tags. See File:Crown Fountain spouting.jpg for an example of proper copyright release for artwork. Note especially the text that says "The photographer does not hold the artistic copyright on the sculpture, and the work of art is also subject to a copyright with respect to reproductions of the art work. Although the photographer authorizes release of his photographic work, this work continues to be subject to fair use restrictions." You need to include that in your file description pages.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 16:58, 10 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
