Disambiguation link notification for September 6[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Ahmed Raissouni, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Baccalaureate. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:10, 6 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Other accounts[edit]

Is this your only account on this wiki project? M.Bitton (talk) 17:18, 10 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

no, i'm sure you recognize me tho NorthAfricanArmsDealer (talk) 17:20, 10 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The question is why are you using another account? M.Bitton (talk) 17:21, 10 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Felt like the old one had to go, I am not as extreme anymore NorthAfricanArmsDealer (talk) 17:26, 10 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
What's the username of your old account? M.Bitton (talk) 17:27, 10 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
of course I'm MakhzenHuman, but I haven't vandalized anything so it shouldn't be a source of concern, right? NorthAfricanArmsDealer (talk) 17:31, 10 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You know full well that you are supposed to provide links between the accounts. M.Bitton (talk) 17:35, 10 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I actually didn't know that, you know full well that you are supposed to assume good faith. After checking, I don't need to provide links per Wikipedia:CLEANSTART. NorthAfricanArmsDealer (talk) 17:41, 10 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
If I didn't assume good faith, I would have filed a SPI instead of approaching you. As for the clean start, it doesn't apply when one is using both accounts at the same time (like you did for a while). M.Bitton (talk) 17:57, 10 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@M.Bitton The only times I used both accounts were on accident and on other devices (where it'd be impractical to switch accounts), if I recall. I have fully transitioned to this account now so I'd argue it applies. I don't think I have done any kind of disruptive editing on any of my accounts (calling what I did on Tamek's page disruptive would be grasping at straws), so I don't think that'd be sock-puppetry. In fact, I acted in good faith in regards to you by acknowledging that this was another account and by giving you my account name, in fact, I'll add a template on my user page (in good faith). Alas, aren't we all kids with nothing better to do on their weekends? NorthAfricanArmsDealer (talk) 18:06, 10 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I must admit it's kinda funny that you were able to recognize me through my passive-aggressiveness though NorthAfricanArmsDealer (talk) 18:17, 10 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi NorthAfricanArmsDealer, if this is your new account, please disclose your old account on your user page and tag your old account (MakhzenHuman) as inactive, per the instructions at WP:SOCKLEGIT. Seeing as you are still editing on similar topics and have actually edited some of the same articles with these two accounts simultaneously (e.g. Hassan II of Morocco and Assassination of Shinzo Abe), you may be putting yourself on thin ice should you run into disputes in the future. This edit, for example, worries me, since usually one does not make an edit deliberately in the expectation that it will be reverted, and evidently you are aware of previous edit-warring on the same detail of that article. There is already a talk page discussion about that issue which you could have joined instead. R Prazeres (talk) 22:16, 17 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I wasn't aware of the talk page discussion. I lost access to that account a while ago, so I don't think I can do that, I only edited on the same account on different devices. NorthAfricanArmsDealer (talk) 22:41, 17 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough. I actually just realized that I somehow missed that you already placed the tag on this account's user page (I must have accidentally been looking at the other blank user page while thinking I was looking at this user page, sorry), so you've already done the most important half, thanks. As for the Saadi Sultanate edit, next time have a look at the talk page first if you think your edit looks controversial and, even if there's nothing there, there's nothing stopping you from explaining yourself there first, especially if "discussion" is your stated intention anyways. R Prazeres (talk) 23:08, 17 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
indeed, that one was on me. NorthAfricanArmsDealer (talk) 23:11, 17 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
PS: Also, I believe nothing is stopping you from just editing MakhzenHuman's user page anyways, even as another editor. Given the context here, I don't see any objection to such an edit. R Prazeres (talk) 23:14, 17 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
this has been done, thanks NorthAfricanArmsDealer (talk) 23:18, 17 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Saharan separatism note[edit]

States with limited recognition, such as South Ossetia, Kosovo, and Abkhazia are in the List of active separatist movements in Europe, even Palestine which is recognized by more UN states than the "SADR" will ever be is in the List of active separatist movements in Asia. It makes no sense not to classify the Polisario as a separatist group when it has been described as such by many reliable and scholarly sources. Alas... NorthAfricanArmsDealer (talk) 07:52, 16 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

October 2022[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Western Saharan clashes (2020–present). This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. M.Bitton (talk) 22:55, 17 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't notice your reverts, I will make a 2nd article. NorthAfricanArmsDealer (talk) 22:57, 17 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
No, you discuss it first with the editor and then we'll see what's the best solution for it. M.Bitton (talk) 22:58, 17 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The prose size being 194kb, it should "almost certainly should be divided" via WP:TOOBIG, do you have an argument against it? NorthAfricanArmsDealer (talk) 23:01, 17 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Do you have an argument against discussing it with the editor who created it? M.Bitton (talk) 23:02, 17 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't discuss it with them beforehand since it seemed like they were for it, I will tomorrow though if needed NorthAfricanArmsDealer (talk) 23:08, 17 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The devil is always in the details. Anyway, I pinged them now, so let's see what they have in mind. M.Bitton (talk) 23:10, 17 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Source misrepresentation[edit]

What is this edit summary supposed to mean? M.Bitton (talk) 00:39, 15 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

What do you want it to mean? NAADAAN (talk) 00:44, 15 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Please answer the question. M.Bitton (talk) 00:46, 15 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Why do you feel targeted? Where in the olaf report, as cited, does it say that these were mere allegations? NAADAAN (talk) 00:50, 15 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Don't play games with me. You reverted my edit with a specific edit summary, so I suggest you explain what you meant by it. M.Bitton (talk) 00:51, 15 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
What about my edit summary did you find concerning? What in the contents of the edit did you not like? Quit playing games and tell me what you want from me, I haven't been in the greatest of health lately and I'd rather not make it worse, 😇. NAADAAN (talk) 01:01, 15 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia is not a platform for petty trolling and games. Please don't do this coy nonsense here. ―Justin (koavf)TCM 03:43, 15 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I am not a troll but okay, no more nonsense NAADAAN (talk) 04:00, 15 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Brianna Ghey[edit]

Could you please self-revert this edit? While it was correct on 13 February, it is no longer factually correct as a day later Cheshire Police were investigating whether it was a hate crime. It's also largely repetitive of the previous sentence. Sideswipe9th (talk) 23:16, 18 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Sideswipe9th I was unaware, this has been done, sorry for the inconvenience 😇. NAADAAN (talk) 23:31, 18 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It's all good! The early changing info, and contradictory statements from the police have made keeping that accurate a bit difficult. Thanks for the self-revert. Sideswipe9th (talk) 23:36, 18 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
