Petition

Hi, I was just wondering if you would like to sign this petition. It's a petition for getting the original voice actors back for the Sonic games (instead of the Sonic X voice actors). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.105.13.135 (talkcontribs)

Q about history merge

I see that you deleted the Nintendo Game & Watch article, but the Game & Watch article still remains as a redirect. Should i revert it back to its last version before the redirection, or do I wait for THE ADMIN to do it for me? I don't aant to break anything, after all. - Hbdragon88 04:27, 19 February 2006 (UTC)

That's a warm welcome!

Thanks a lot for the note - I actually happen to be sysop on :fr! (I pretty much only show up on :en for interwiki links). Cheers, Popo le Dog 12:53, 20 February 2006 (UTC)

You're welcome, and thank you for contributing! Mushroom (Talk) 15:55, 20 February 2006 (UTC)

Commons

Please note that there is a deletion request for all Abu Ghraib prisoner pics on Commons. -- Simplicius 14:53, 20 February 2006 (UTC)

Thank you very much for telling me, I have voted "keep" (obviously). Mushroom (Talk) 15:09, 20 February 2006 (UTC)
Yes. Thx a lot and best regards. -- Simplicius 11:05, 21 February 2006 (UTC)

Thank You

Thank you for deleting the "Rogue Genetics" article. That article's existence led me to (avoid sleep and thus) do more clean-ups and finally figure out which e-mail address my account was for. Thank you. Blue Slime 15:23, 20 February 2006 (UTC)

No problem, it was my pleasure. Mushroom (Talk) 15:55, 20 February 2006 (UTC)

Speedy speedies

Hiya, lots of speedies flying around earlier, wasn't there? Poor ConsolePassion must be confused now! I also removed a unexplained speedy (have mesg the editor asking to put reasons in future) from another of his articles, The Retro Ball which had been un prod by another editor, so wasn't a speedy. Some of them might still end up on afd, but I'm not going to nominate any myself, as will wait to see how the aricles develop. I'm a bit dubious about the notability of Retro Fusion as it's not been launched yet, though. Personally, I think it would be better if all those stubs were in one article, which would solve a lot of the issues. I'll mention that to him in a second. Regards, MartinRe 17:02, 20 February 2006 (UTC)

Yes, that's a good idea. Sorry if I answer now, but my router died four days ago. Mushroom (Talk) 13:36, 24 February 2006 (UTC)

Source of movie posters

Um, by definition the source of a movie poster such as Image:Untold Scandal.jpg is the movie's producer, whose name is even visible on the poster itself, so it's nonsensical to tag as "no source". Stan 19:42, 20 February 2006 (UTC)

I have found the source (URL) of the image and put it back in the article. Mushroom (Talk) 15:56, 25 February 2006 (UTC)

Maybe I mistagged it? This image is one I made from scratch using my computer. - ElAmericano (dímelo) 23:40, 20 February 2006 (UTC)

More copyright paranoia from me. I have untagged it. Mushroom (Talk) 13:36, 24 February 2006 (UTC)

Logo Sources

Hi. I notice you have asked Ambi to supply a source for the logos that she has uploaded for various netball teams. I am not sure this is a correct use of the image use guidelines. The copyright of the logo resides with the company who's logo it is, these have been clearly described in the descriptions. Crediting the specific website that the images came from seems dsecondary to this, and not required as the website in quesiton does not hold the copyright of the images. Is there a policy about this somewhere I am not aware of? This seems quite different from a normal fair-use image where the source of the image should be listed so that the copyright of the image can be assertained. --Martyman-(talk) 04:07, 21 February 2006 (UTC)

I'm sorry. She was another victim of my sudden attack of copyright paranoia :) Mushroom (Talk) 13:36, 24 February 2006 (UTC)

My RfA

Mushroom, thank you for having nominated me for adminship. I'm delighted that the RfA ultimately succeeded with a final consensus of 52/1/0, so I am now an administrator. If you ever have any comments regarding my editing, or I can help you at any point in the future, please feel free to leave a message on my talk page. Again, thank you!

My RFA

Thank you for supporting me in my successful RFA. The admin tools will definitely be useful for dealing with vandalism more swiftly. Please drop a note on my talk page, should you have questions about any of my actions. --Aude (talk | contribs) 01:31, 23 February 2006 (UTC)

I see that you have marked Image:4Serbs.jpg as having no source, while it has very detailed information on its sources and author. Please don't do it again. Nikola 06:38, 23 February 2006 (UTC)

Sorry about that, it was a mistake. Mushroom (Talk) 13:36, 24 February 2006 (UTC)

With apologies for the impersonal AWB-ness of the message... Thanks for your support on my recent request for adminship. It passed at 91/1/0, and I hope I can continue to deserve the community's trust. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help you, and if I make a mistake be sure to tell me. My talk page is always open. (ESkog)(Talk) 02:21, 24 February 2006 (UTC)

How does it have no source? It has a game-screenshot tag. Do you want the URL where it came from? If so, I don't know since I didn't upload it. Thunderbrand 15:35, 25 February 2006 (UTC)

I have found the source of the image and put it back in the article. Mushroom (Talk) 15:56, 25 February 2006 (UTC)

Orphan images

When you delete images, please remember to orphan them first. Leaves ugly redlinks behind otherwise. Thanks. -Splashtalk 23:30, 25 February 2006 (UTC)

What image are you referring to? I always check the file links before deleting, but maybe I have missed one. Mushroom (Talk) 23:37, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
Image:De_Smet2.jpg. I was in the process of orphaning and deleting it myself, but saw the link turn red rather than be removed. No big deal, just thought I'd remind you just in case. -Splashtalk 00:08, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
Ok, thank you for telling me. I will be more careful in future. Mushroom (Talk) 00:13, 26 February 2006 (UTC)

Thanks

I just wanted to say thank you for voting for my RFA, of course if you ever need a hand, let me know :) - cohesiontalk 00:05, 26 February 2006 (UTC)

Speedy deleting no source images

I just wanted to say "Thanks!" for being on top of the 200+ images I tagged for speedy deletion per CSD I4. Would you mind deleting Category:Images with unknown source as of 15 February 2006 since we emptied it out? Thanks. --ZsinjTalk 02:06, 26 February 2006 (UTC)

You're welcome, and thanks for tagging them :) I have deleted the category. Mushroom (Talk) 02:08, 26 February 2006 (UTC)

Hi Mushroom, you speedied this article but I have a comment on the edit summary you gave. The content was definitly not plain "nonsense" and the author is now wondering what happened to this articles. I think a more descriptive edit summary should have been given in this case. Cheers, —Ruud 03:51, 26 February 2006 (UTC)

You're right, that was not nonsense. I have restored it and tagged it as "Move to Wiktionary". I'm sorry. Mushroom (Talk) 13:07, 26 February 2006 (UTC)

Golbafan

Mind deleting Golbafan again (for the 5th time) and protecting it against recreation? I think after 5 times protection would be warranted no? Mike (T C) 08:27, 27 February 2006 (UTC)

I have protected it. Mushroom (Talk) 08:34, 27 February 2006 (UTC)

iTunes external link, again

Taxman has removed the references you reviewed on the iTunes article. I've commented there and would appreciate it if you would as well. uriah923(talk) 17:35, 27 February 2006 (UTC)

I appreciate your comments. Anything further you can do would be appreciated, but I will probably not comment further. I've learned that trying to defend myself just makes people mad, so I'm thinking I'll get an advocate from the AMA. I don't know if that will change anything, but I don't know what else to do. Anyway, thanks again. uriah923(talk) 07:27, 28 February 2006 (UTC)

Please do not edit my talk page

I like for the contents of my talk page to remain verbatim and unedited. If there is some particular reason why that image link should be removed, then ask me. Don't just go modifying my talk page at your leisure.—Kbolino 01:08, 28 February 2006 (UTC)

I'm sorry, I was just trying to do some cleanup after image deletion. I promise I won't edit your user pages again. Mushroom (Talk) 10:55, 28 February 2006 (UTC)

Image:The_cootees.jpg

Hello. You deleted this image, but since it is an album cover, it fits under the template {{Albumcover}}. That means it's okay to use, right? Could you "undelete" the image, or is it easier just to re-upload the image? If you think I should upload the image, could you give me a wikilink that tells me how to do that? Thanks in advance. (You may reply here or in my talk page.) EdGl 02:08, 28 February 2006 (UTC)

I deleted it because it hadn't been tagged for over seven days. Images can't be undeleted, you'll have to upload it again. See Wikipedia:Uploading images. Please tag it with the {{albumcover}} template and it won't get deleted again. Mushroom (Talk) 10:55, 28 February 2006 (UTC)

My RFA

Thank you for supporting my successful request for adminship. I'll try to put the admin tools to good and responsible use. If I do anything wrong you know where to find me. Raven4x4x 08:43, 28 February 2006 (UTC)

Rank insignia

Hi there! Some time ago you deleted Image:Podpulkownik.jpg, an image which is essential to the Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Military history/Polish military history task force and its {{Infobox Polish Soldiers}}. As I'm working on improvement of the latter template I ask you to please un-delete the image - or at least send it to me by mail. Sadly I lost all of my archives recently and Emax, the author of all the images, is currently inactive. Thanks in advance. Halibutt 03:04, 1 March 2006 (UTC)

Hi, I have re-uploaded it and tagged it as {{symbol}}. According to the fair use criteria, fair use images must be used in the article namespace, this is why I deleted it. Please put it in an article soon or it could be deleted again. Thank you. Mushroom (Talk) 12:40, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
Thanks. Do you have an archive of all your deleted images or is there a way to undelete images in wiki? I'm asking, because one of the admins was on a deletion spree recently and deleted many images being used in Polish Armed Forces rank insignia... BTW, the images of rank insignia are PD by the Geneva Convention (hence the {{Military Insignia}} template. Halibutt 23:01, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
Images can't be undeleted, so I have an archive. Two of those images in Polish Armed Forces rank insignia, Image:Pagon-mat.png and Image:Pagon kontradmiral m.png, were actually deleted by me, and I will re-upload them as soon as possible. Any other deleted images may still be in the Google cache or on some Wikipedia mirror, so maybe they could be recovered. If you tell me their names I'll see if I can find them. I didn't know about {{Military Insignia}}: I will retag those images so they don't get deleted again. Mushroom (Talk) 23:18, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
I'm sorry about the deletions, I should have studied Wikipedia:Image copyright tags better. I have now re-uploaded those two images and I have also retagged all the ones in Polish Armed Forces rank insignia and in User:Halibutt/Ranks. I also searched for File:Starszy Sierzant Sztabowy.jpg, File:Sierzant Sztabowy.jpg and File:Wiceadmiral.jpg on Google, Answers.com (a Wikipedia mirror) and the Polish Wikipedia, but I couldn't find them. If there's anything else I can do, don't hesitate to ask. Mushroom (Talk) 00:06, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
Thanks, you're my hero :) Halibutt 15:25, 3 March 2006 (UTC)

Thanks

Thanks for clearing up the vandalism on the Cherokee Nation v. Georgia page. I spent a lot of time adding information to that page at the end of last year and appreciate people deleting the garbage that vandals place in the articles I've worked on. User:Jaedglass

You're welcome. Mushroom (Talk) 12:40, 1 March 2006 (UTC)

RfA thanks

Thank you for voting on my RfA, it passed with a final tally of 68/0/0 so I'm now an administrator. If there's anything I can do to help, you feel I've done something wrong, or there's just something you want to tell, don't hesitate to use my talk page. Thanks. - Bobet 10:41, 1 March 2006 (UTC)

My RfA

Hi! Thanks for your support in my request for adminship (did you know that "adminiship" is not an English word? Unbelievable!). It ended with a tally of (51/0/0). As an administrator, I hope to better help this project and its participants: if you have any question or request, please let me know. - Liberatore(T) 12:42, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
