Genealogy and Family History merger[edit]

Murphynw, sounds good! Glad to see it. :) The only thing that I might point out is that the term Family History is still active as a search term and redirected to Genealogy. So while we did choose the term Genealogy for the main article, users can still access it and search for it under the other name as well. As for choosing the article name, I think you described it correctly regarding popularity - It falls under this guideline Wikipedia:Article titles. I'll also note that it would be fine for us to mention notable distinctions people may use between the terminology, but it still makes sense to address this as a single topic because even with such distinctions, so much of it overlaps that it's essentially the same thing. Seems odd to me though that some people think Genealogy ignores the stories, or that you could do Family History without knowing the names, relationships, dates, and locations.
