Something Awful[edit]

The reason I reverted the speedy tag was that the wording made it clear it was in bad faith. No proper criteria was specified. If you wish for it to be deleted, then please take it to AFD. But I can tell you you will need to construct a very strong case against it. There are adequate citations in this article to show notability. Simply stating that it should be deleted because GenMay will get you nowhere.--Drat (Talk) 11:43, 15 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Then take it to AFD. But you are going to have a fight on your hands. Remember, though, that it is points and arguments, not weight of votes, that counts.--Drat (Talk) 11:49, 15 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
AFD is Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. There are instructions on how to nominate an article there. As for GenMay, you can make your case at Wikipedia:Deletion review. Also, I have removed your speedy tag from Offtopic.com, as there are numerous assertions of importance in the article, granted only two sourced. Like with SA, you are best to take it to AFD, but in both cases they may be viewed as disruption to illustrate a point. Please also sign your messages with four tildes like this ~~~~.--Drat (Talk) 12:00, 15 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Genmay[edit]

I left a comment (no vote though) at the deletion review, but I'm not sure if you're watching it closely enough to catch it before it gets closed. I just said that there is a copy of the article at User:Lantoka/Sandbox2 that you might want to take a look at. Specifically, this is where the article can be "reopened and giv[en] the chance to show our credibilty".

BTW, my delete decision doesn't stand over any other admin's decision, it's supported by all the other admins. I'll point you to the standards we're using if you're interested. In the meantime though, see what you can do with the sandboxed copy—if good references can be added then it'll be allowed to move back into the encyclopedia. — Saxifrage 17:11, 15 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
