Field Turf Installations[edit]

Midland and Macomb Dakota were not installations of Field Turf Inc. Do not include them in the list. My website http://www.mihsfbstadium.com shows which company has done what field in the state of Michigan. Uhm if you do not understand this then I can give you a few emails that will give you a chewing out on this. These emails come from other companies that got upset about having the name Field Turf instead of Infill Turf on my site. I have since changed that since its in my best intrest to please the companies that I rely on to get info. If you continue to do this I will have to report this.

Hey Mrm, Where did you get the information that Roy spends some wedding money on two jet skis? It seems very much like something he would do, but do you have a source?

Image copyright problem with Image:Harry-Whittington-Austin-American-Standard-AP.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Harry-Whittington-Austin-American-Standard-AP.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator.

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you have questions about copyright tagging of images, post on Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags or User talk:Carnildo/images. 13:43, 23 February 2006 (UTC)

WikiProject NASCAR proposed standards[edit]

WikiProject NASCAR needs your help! We are in the process of forming our proposed standards which, when complete, will hopefully become a Wikipedia guideline. The guidelines will help editors understand Wikipedia consensus about things like which NASCAR-related articles meet notability standards. Please stop by and let us know what you think! Image Tagging for Image:Begala.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Begala.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

Please don't contribute to the bigotry[edit]

Why did you set "University of Michigan" in bold on the U of M disambiguation page when none of the others were bolded? I can hardly believe the intensity of all the bigotry we've seen on that page. Somehow people affiliated with Michigan not only keep asserting, despite all evidence and despite their cowardly unwillingness to argue their case (because they don't have one, I think) that the University of Michigan is a sort of principal claimant to that abbreviation, and even keep asserting that they know more about the other universities listed there than do those who have actually heard of those other universities. Some anonymous cowardly moron asserted (falsely, obviously), that those others do not use the abbreviation "U of M" officially. The University of Minnesota has used the "U of M" abbreviation officially MORE extensively than has the University of Michigan, since before the birth of anyone now living.

Why can't you people respect facts and abstain from sneering every time you edit that page? Michael Hardy 02:09, 24 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Don't take it personally[edit]

I wish I didn't have to put the tag on your user page, but it is required when filing an SSP. Since SP's rarely ever admit they are SP's this is the only way to find out if there are duplicate accounts. As you admit, it is a rare and suspicious circumstance that has caused me to list you. Please note, that I am not accusing you of any abuse in my SSP report. If the account is an SP it should be disclosed to everyone. If it isn't I deeply apologize for putting you through the hassle. I wasn't willing to go so far as to open a suspected sockpuppet case, or even make that accusation. Here's the lowdown: Over the past many weeks (maybe even months now) USER:Cbuhl79 has gone out of his way to try and decree what will, or will not, be in the Fox News article intro, and specifically how it is worded. He began raising objections after a wide circle of editors participated in an RfC and arrived at a consensus. He called a second RfC in bad faith, and then proceeded to break all kinds of wikipedia rules to try and gather support (he gathered none). He tried about four policies to try and effect the same change (wikilawyering) and went so far as to call a wildly inappropriate request for arbitration (summarily rejected). The ArbCom suggest Cbuhl79 speak with some administrators to try and understand why his position is incorrect, but instead he went and reported users involved in the dispute to the WP:NPA noticeboard (though no personal attack occured).

Now, with all that background... the reason you're probably being accused of socketpuppetry is that you began involvement right as Cbuhl79 ceased on his quest to bully his way regarding the FNC article. On top of that, you're arguing the same position he seems to have been, and using the same (previously rebuffed) logic.

After looking at your contribution history, I'm fairly comfortable saying I don't believe you're a sockpuppet (they rarely have 2+ yrs of edit time under belt) and your writing style is a little more coherent than Cbuhl79's. If anything, you would probably be the puppet master and the cbuhl79 account (which is only a few months old) would be the puppet. But in either case, I don't believe you're involved in anything nefarious (other than the gratuitious WP:3RR violation).

I believe this all came about simply by happenstance. I would very strongly suggest that you re-read the (probably now archived) discussion on the Fox News Channel talk page. The editing community worked very hard to come to an acceptable consensus that falls well within wikipedia policy, and you're probably suffering some backlash and lower good faith tolerance than normal due to reopening issues that have been discussed at length.

Speaking of at length, sorry my posts tend to do that.  ;-) /Blaxthos 23:28, 10 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Midland Community Stadium, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at Talk:Midland Community Stadium. You may remove the deletion notice, and the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. Thanks for uploading Image:Dave-Camp-Representative.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. DragonFire1024 from Wikinews.[edit]

I sent you an e-mail and I was wondering, if possible, you can help us ou...quietly if you can or want to :) We have an issue:

Hello...I don't know if you read this mail anymore or if it is even still working. There is a big policy war going on at Wikinews here: http://en.wikinews.org/wiki/Wikinews:Image_use_policy/New_wikimedia_policy_action_plan

Apparently the Board went over the heads of all the Wiki'sincluding the 2 Wikinewsies Eloquence and I forget who else. we are at odds and if my images get deleted i will leave the progject and MessedRocker already left cuz of this.

I want to know what my rights are to the articles I published including OR content and images that i took personally. What are my rights to my published content? Do you know? Have any idea?

Let me know what you think about all this through e-mail...you don't have to comment on WN and I will not even let anyone know that I spoke with you. These are desperate times and I require desperate measures. I want to fight this until there is not a chance of winning.

I am against this policy and I believe the board did NOT act in the interest of Wikinews.

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

This is an automated message from a robot. You have recently uploaded Image:9-and-10-news-logo-WWTV-WWUP.gif. The file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 18:40, 6 September 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. If you believe you received this message in error, please notify the bot's owner. Yayas Flamed Broiled Chicken[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Yayas Flamed Broiled Chicken, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of Yayas Flamed Broiled Chicken. An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Criticism of Bill O'Reilly (political commentator). We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Criticism of Bill O'Reilly (political commentator) (3rd nomination). Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

Orphaned non-free image (File:Wnem-logo.jpg)[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Wnem-logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. J Milburn (talk) 16:10, 17 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:CNN-Pipeline-Windows.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:CNN-Pipeline-Windows.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. J Milburn (talk) 21:11, 13 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File copyright problem with File:1959-Penny-Front-Back.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:1959-Penny-Front-Back.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Stefan2 (talk) 22:31, 30 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
