Re Accustations on Talk: Sean Yazbeck 6/21/06[edit]

In all comments, have attempted to be conciliatory, but do feel that the attempts to introduce unsubstantiated derogatory material needs to be resisted in this forum. Do not feel that the term 'lie' is appropriate in this forum under any circumstances per the Wikipedia guidelines on the biography of living persons. On the show, Sean first says that he came from Southampton Solent University, then from Southampton University. He first says that he took a first, then that a first is the highest honor in the British educational system, then that he is valedictorian.

Wikipedia does not require people to have first hand knowledge of any topic- it's requires people to research topics as covered in authoritative sources and report their findings. Have done research and added information that helped people make up their own minds- for example inserted the link to the British undergraduate classification system under the term 'first honors'- so that others can read and reach their own conclusions. Did go to the Guardian, find the current standings, and the profile of Southampton Solent University.

Have e-mailed sean@seanyazbeck.com, sent a link to this discussion, and gotten his reactions to these accusations (see talk:Sean Yazback MRM 09:01, 13 June 2006 (UTC)). Do not want to post complete text from a private e-mail without the author's permission. Got permission for what is currently in my 6/13 comment. Sean would prefer that you e-mail him directly rather than have me insert the text of that e-mail in this forum. Such an e-mail is also original research and not admissable as evidence for Wikipedia (learned this since then). Intend to inform him of the Living Person's rule, give him the address of the editors and recommend that he take this matter into his own hands.

Have put a lot of time into this article over the past week or so- my first experience on Wikipedia. I watched every episode of The Apprentice this season first hand. I have extensively studied the episode recaps on NBC and Yahoo to make sure that my text is supported by the published content of the show. Also feel that the examples support the 'gushing statements' far more than the suppositions on this discussion page support the derogatory comments. have edited them out anyway.

If you follow Sean in the papers, you would see that since the show in LA, he's been in London to visit his parents and bring them back to Miami, back to LA where Apprentice Season 6 is being taped (Sean will be a judge), then to New York where his girl friend Tammy Trenta auctioned off a dinner date with Sean for charity and then back to Miami where Sean was honored by the mayor. In his spare time, he has been interviewed by all the entertainment magazines and local papers in Miami, Lebanon (by phone), and London- so he might not get back to Ralphthebear's e-mail right away.

In every episode of the Apprentice, Sean's character comes through. He did not fight with a single person on the show- even though provoked by Roxanne and Allie. He contributed to the wins of every team he was on, even though it did not count toward his PM wins- and one of the wins where this was most evident was one of Lee's PM wins. He always played fair. We need to play fair with him in return. In Lee's TV Guide Interview (Was Lee Shortchanged?)[[1]], he states that both players kept it clean and that he is proud of the way both players played the game. Feel that Wikipedia users need to play this game the same way.MRM 21:47, 24 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
