Anonymous users in an edit war

Without having looked at the edits themselves, it's always good to consider WP:CIVIL and the rule against reverting changes 3 (or more) times within 24 hours. Violations of either of things can be reported here: Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. The best bet, though, is to remember to stay calm and note that no matter how annoying it is, eventually one (or more) of them will tire of the game and go away. AFC that might interest you

Hey there, I wondered if you minded taking a look at an article for creation that I started but don't have the authority to publish yet (I'm a newly registered member). It's a band on the Acoustic Disc label, Old School Freight Train, of which I am a huge fan but not a member. The Dawg is also a huge fan. Acoustic Disk

I've seen you make the Acoustic Disk article, since I made The Pizza Tapes and linked to it, (and you even corrected my [[Folk]] and [[Acoustic]] mistakes) in the infobox. But do you know by any chance where the label is located? When I made it I couldn't find where it was so I deleted the "| location = " section between country and genre. Monon Trail anti-site

I think it would be ok to have the external link to the monontrail.com site, as long as it is labeled something like "Monon Trail opposition site" or something like that, don't you think? Are you knowledgeable of the events he talks of? Perhaps, instead of removing his stuff, we can craft a short, balanced view of the issues. --rogerd 14:17, 12 May 2007 (UTC)

I looked up the indianatrails.org site (not the opposition site), and it turns out that the guy who runs the Hoosier Rails-to-Trails Council is someone I used to know. I called him yesterday and asked him about this controversy. He is familiar with the guy who is posting this stuff (he is using his initial and his last name in his user name on the talk page). This guy is a disgruntled homeowner who has property on the Monon in Carmel, who has been trying to drag this out for years. I told my friend that we need a balanced, short statement of the controversy with both sides represented. He is going to look at it and get back to me. He has used wikipedia as a reference and is a little familiar with it, but has not edited. I encouraged him to register as a wikipedia user and change it himself, but he is not very confident of his computer skills. I would rather not be involved as a someone presenting one side of this argument or another, but stay in an impartial role. I recommend that we leave Tharleman's biased additions there for the time being until we get the other side. He still hasn't provided any references, just links that point to various parties' web pages. Thanks. --rogerd 17:25, 12 May 2007 (UTC)

Garcia/Grisman albums

Well, after our discussion here on my user talk page a couple of months ago, I have made a few modest improvements to the Garcia/Grisman album articles (all seven of them). Basically, I added album cover images (to the ones that didn't already have them), some more professional reviews, and the Garcia/Grisman album chronology. I ended up adding an album cover image, and also a few other updates to the infobox. I would still encourage you to try uploading an album cover or other image, it's pretty easy once you get the hang of it.
