A tag has been placed on The Arena (MMA) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 22:12, 6 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of The Arena (MMA)[edit]

Hello Mmasource, this is a message from an automated bot to inform you that the page you created, The Arena (MMA), has been marked for speedy deletion by User:Mmasource. This has been done because the page is a blatant advert that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article (see CSD). If you think the tag was placed in error, please add "{{hangon}}" to the page text, and edit the talk page to explain why the page should not be deleted. If you have a question about this bot, please ask it at User talk:SDPatrolBot II. If you have a question for the user who tagged the article, see User talk:Mmasource. Thanks, - SDPatrolBot II (talk) on behalf of Mmasource (talk · contribs) 08:33, 2 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article The Arena (MMA) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication of notability; appears to be spam.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. rʨanaɢ (talk) 02:43, 6 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated The Arena (MMA), an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Arena (MMA). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. -- 李博杰  | Talk contribs email 09:17, 6 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to The Arena (MMA), without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. rʨanaɢ (talk) 06:40, 7 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Weakening your own arguments[edit]

Be very wary of making arguments like "MMA is widely accepted as the fastest growing sport in the world". Aside from being uncited, for those not already MMA fans they tend to reek of "Up and coming next big thing" and violate our "Wikipedia is not a crystal ball" principle. --Orange Mike | Talk 13:52, 14 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
