I am the first author of the announcement paper for the Smithsonian/NASA Astrophysics Data System Digital Library: http://adsabs.harvard.edu/abs/1993ASPC...52..132K and have stayed with the project, e.g. http://adsabs.harvard.edu/abs/2005JASIS..56...36K

The ADS project often refers people to the Wikipedia article for an independent view of ADS, thus we only very rarely make any changes, and then always minor. For our own descriptions readers are invited to read our papers, our help pages, and our user guide.
