September 2008[edit]

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to Corbin Bleu. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you.Kww (talk) 13:39, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not vandalize pages, as you did with this edit to Corbin Bleu. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing. StaticGull  Talk  13:39, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits, such as the one you made to Southend High School for Girls. If you vandalize Wikipedia again, you will be blocked from editing. Kww (talk) 13:46, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked[edit]

Please don't add nonsense to Wikipedia. If you decide to change your mind and contribute constructively, add {{unblock}} to this page. henriktalk 14:14, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes but i don't get how to change something without it being classed as vandalism do you get me?

To help you understand why the things you put in there were called vandalism, there's a page I'd like you to read, only 10 lines long: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. After reading that, can you understand why your edits were problematic? BTW, you can sign your comments by typing ~~~~, and it helps to keep them readable if you start a new comment in a new paragraph so we can keep your comments and mine apart. henriktalk 14:36, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

ThanksMissedwardcullen (talk) 14:38, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've unblocked you now, but please don't edit any more articles until you've understood what Wikipedia is about. There are a few links at the top of your page, and Kww is trying to help below as well. If you need any additional help, please ask here or over at my talk page. henriktalk 14:40, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
So what kind of things CAN i change?Missedwardcullen (talk) 14:42, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You can change pretty much anything! You got off to a bit of a rough start - you don't have to be afraid to change things if you think it'll make an article better. But when you get a message that has questions about some of your edits, please stop for a while and listen to what was said. If you don't understand what the message is about, ask! As long as you're communicating with the other people here, you'll be fine. Have fun! henriktalk 15:22, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

so could i change the date somethings coming out on?Missedwardcullen (talk) 15:26, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Let's talk[edit]

Let's talk a bit, and I will help you work on your unblock if I think you are ready. Do you understand that Wikipedia isn't a place to discuss whether you like the girls in a particular school, or whether you think an actor is cute?Kww (talk) 14:24, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

yes but i don't understand how to change something without it being classed as vandalism. on the Southend High School for Girls age i added Dance to the subject list and it was deleted.

First, some little tiny rules: add a blank line before your answer, and type ~~~~ at the end. That way, your comment gets separated from mine, and Wikipedia will mark that you wrote it. On the Southend article, no one minded that you added "Dance". What people objected to was

  • This gets you rolling on the floor with laughter
  • Congrats to all girls that took part in last years snow white x-factor as it was a huge success and fun for viewers and participators all round
  • because they want to be cool and i don't mean to vandalise but i don't like them

Have you ever seen an encyclopedia with sentences like that in it?Kww (talk) 14:37, 14 September 2008 (UTC) .[reply]

NoMissedwardcullen (talk) 14:39, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
Then why was dance deleted?Missedwardcullen (talk) 14:40, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Don't put a space as the first character. That's why your answers look funny. "Dance" got deleted because we have a button that says "Undo everything that editor did". Usually, when an edit is as bad as yours were, people just hit that button. It's faster than than trying to figure out whether there may have been one good word.

If you've never seen an encyclopedia with those kind of sentences, why did you write them?Kww (talk) 14:45, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

So can i add Dance back again now i'm unblocked?Missedwardcullen (talk) 14:47, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you get unblocked (you haven't been yet, and I can't do it), you could add dance again. I just got the idea that you aren't a bad kid, just one that didn't know what to do, so I'm helping. Next step: look around Wikipedia, and find two other articles you would like to change. Tell me here what changes you would like to make, and why.Kww (talk) 14:51, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I take it back. Henrik unblocked you. I'm surprised. Still, best if you tell me here first what you want to change. It'll help keep you out of trouble.Kww (talk) 14:56, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Both on the Southend High school for girls page: Add dance coz i'm in the dance club In the info box write what ad dei glorium means coz it's on our blazers and people should no what it meansMissedwardcullen (talk) 15:00, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

OK, go to User:Kww/sandbox/Southend and make the changes there. That's a private copy of the article, so if you do it wrong, nobody but you and I will notice.Kww (talk) 15:06, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Is that ok?Missedwardcullen (talk) 15:10, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Close.

  • Your sentence about removing the badges is messed up (probably an extra space at the front).
  • What on earth is "Resistant Materials"?
  • Most important: is there a website or anything that has a source for this information?

Kww (talk) 15:13, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't origanally write the badge thing i jus added the bit at the end. Resistant Materials is a bit like technology but with things like heat proof paper. I don't understand the last thing u saidMissedwardcullen (talk) 15:17, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Everything on Wikipedia is supposed to have a source. It isn't perfect, but it's important to try. If someone lied, and said that the only languages that the school taught were Japanese, Hungarian, and Croatian, where would I go to find out the truth?Kww (talk) 15:20, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think i know what u mean. try www.shsg.orgMissedwardcullen (talk) 15:22, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

OK. Look at [[1]], and you can see what I changed to make it so that people can easily find out whether it's true that the school offers French, German, and Spanish. Is there anything you can do for Dance or Resistant Material?Kww (talk) 15:32, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The school hasn't got a proper website at the moment so noMissedwardcullen (talk) 15:43, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Does it have a paper catalog?Kww (talk) 15:47, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

what u mean like one you get at school. like one you can hold?Missedwardcullen (talk)

Yes.Kww (talk) 15:59, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

YeahMissedwardcullen (talk) 16:02, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tell me the title of the pamphlet, any date on it (like "Copyright 2008 by so-and-so"), and the pages that the courses are listed on. I'll show you how to add it.Kww (talk) 16:08, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I'm away for a half-hour or so. Don't worry if you don't get a quick answer.Kww (talk) 16:11, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

oh no i can't find itMissedwardcullen (talk) 16:30, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Pick up one at school tomorrow, and we'll fix it later, then. No rush. My computer is watching your talk page, so I'll know when you put the answer here.Kww (talk) 16:43, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

k thanxMissedwardcullen (talk) 18:53, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Personal information[edit]

Hi there. Keep in mind, anyone in the world with internet access can see anything on Wikipedia. I suggest you read "Wikipedia is in the real world" for more information. You might also want to read this. Thank you ~ ς ح д r خ є ~ 18:08, 6 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

what private info did i give out??Missedwardcullen (talk) 19:25, 9 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 20:06, 9 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

hey thanks Missedwardcullen (talk) 20:16, 9 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

December 2009[edit]

Please do not add nonsense or your personal opinion to articles. In this edit you added "(lol)" to Meiosis, and in this edit you added "confusing" to a description of Mitosis. Wikipedia is not a social networking website where we add comments to articles.

Regarding the Personal information note above, the suggestion probably relates to your user page. It's good to be friendly, but if the information on your user page is accurate, it is most unlikely that you want to be friendly with the type of people who might respond. Johnuniq (talk) 01:37, 13 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

i'm not sure i understand what i can edit and what i can't. Missedwardcullen (talk) 14:01, 13 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
All edits to articles must aim to improve the article. Correct English is required, and the information added has to be helpful. You might like to correct spelling mistakes or improve grammar, but you should only add text on topics where you have a good understanding of the issues. So, you need to find articles that interest you, on topics which you have read about. By the way, I put a colon (":") in front of your comment to indent it, and two colons ("::") in front of mine. See WP:TP. Johnuniq (talk) 02:00, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
oh ok, i thik i get it. so like, if they had the wrong info about my school, i could change it? Tay-xxx 16:48, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
Yes. The basic point is that your edit has to provide new information, or provide a better presentation of the information that is already there. An article isn't a place to express your opinion.—Kww(talk) 17:07, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
oohhhhh ok i get it :) btw, merry christmas :) Tay-xxx 17:10, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
hey have a great christmas :) Tay-xxx 19:51, 18 December 2009 (UTC)
Hi, Missedwardcullen, you'll likely not be pleased about this but I have suppressed a number of edits to your userspace which reveal too much personally identifiable information about yourself. I've done this per policy and for your own protection and safety on-line as you are a self-declared minor. I'm really sorry about that and I know it's annoying, but it's for the best. Please don't re-add it. For some useful information on privacy and safety, take a look at Wikipedia:Guidance for younger editors. Thanks, and sorry for messing about with your pages - Alison 00:51, 7 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • A bit late, sorry, but was just made aware of your userpage - Alison 00:51, 7 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
