Interstate 70

In regards to your edits to I-70, the table that MPD put on the table is more compliant with project standards. It doesn't matter if it looks better or not; your reversion to the old table is outdated and needs to be replaced. STL uni to STL edu merger

Hi Millbrooky, I support merging Colleges and Universities of St. Louis, Missouri to Education in St. Louis, Missouri, it's redundant with no need that I can see for separate articles, and should be merged soon. Evolauxia 06:17, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

Munich U-Bahn

Sadly my system can't read the pdfs that are on MVG's website so I can't check the source, but there were 3 new stations opened last October which might not be included in that particular source. Could you please check if that is the case. Agathoclea 08:20, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

The PDFs on MVG's website are dated 1 Jan 2007 (April 2007 edition). I've also count 93 stations on the network map included in the article. I found the PDF at this link here. --Millbrooky 17:16, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

Strange, if the previous figures were wrong then the people who maintained the German article have had a serious lapse, and they are the ones that know every piece of track. Anyway I left a message with Flo to see if he can come up with an explanation for the discrepancy. Agathoclea 19:31, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

Michigan lefts elsewhere

The example I included in the article may not appear exactly like the aerial photo at the top of the article. But it is considered to be a Michigan left. Area traffic planners have used that term to refer to this location, and therefore, I feel, it is appropriate in this article. I also wish to see other examples listed here in the future. I just know of this one because I used to live nearby.

The satellite view I inserted into article is not the most perfect picture. But it is the best illustration I could find online. Anyway, this location does fit the description named in the introductory paragraph - a prohibited left turn that is replaced by a U-turn followed by a right turn.Sebwite (talk) 17:51, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

stl neighborhoods

thanks for working on the neighborhood articles. I've created a to do list for them and linked it in all the article discussion pages. None of them are really outstanding right now. If you would like to collaborate with me, we could pick one and try to bring it up to a standard good enough for the other articles to look up to. If they can reach a satisfactory level of description and informative character, I would like to create articles for the historic neighborhoods too. The problem with the downtown article is that it is the historic neighborhood not the current neighborhoods as they are broken down by the government. I lived down there, and I think there's a huge character difference once you cross tucker. I'm unsure how to address that right now though, so I'll leave it. Hope this finds you well. Education in St. Louis, Missouri

the article for education in st. louis includes universities that are outside the city limits, but the name at least limits them to Missouri so places like SIUE shouldn't be included. So the merger with the list of colleges and universities isn't appropriate. If however a Education in Greater St. Louis article is created, then there is home for that information. You're the only active person in the stl project as far as I can see. Do give me your thoughts. DaronDierkes (talk) 05:53, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

MetroLink

are you renaming the categories in order to capitalize the L in metrolink? What about the station articles? most of them are spelled with have (Metrolink Station) as part of their title... DaronDierkes (talk) 01:04, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

Wow, you've done a lot of work. I noticed you moved a category, and that there are three more categories still to go that use the Metrolink name instead of MetroLink. I'd like to put in a slight objection to the categorizing of Bi-state under MetroLink because it is already under public transit which also includes the metrolink. As Bi-state runs the buses, the call-a-ride program, and the metrolink, I think it is better not to group it so low or to redundantly categorize it, but of course, no articles currently exist for the other two programs... Anyway, I'm ok with however you want to go about it. If you have the time and energy I do hope that you can look over Wikipedia:WikiProject St. Louis/Transportation which is still in its nascent phase. Edit away, any direction that can be given to the working group would be most appreciated. I'd love to start a dialouge on the talk page there too. Just wanted to let you know that per this consensus. C-Class is now an official article quality. Its between Start-Class and B-Class. Lambert Airport Edit

That info on the website you removed was good info. The site has many new things to make traveling easier and it is worth mentioning on the article. So Why Did you change it? Lambert's new website is little more than a makeover with some spit and polish. I felt that a website makeover was not newsworthy enough to warrant its inclusion within the article. I will admit I was a little over-zealous with my reversion and have restored the new web address for the airport. Neighborhood tags

I tagged the neighborhood articles because the information isnt sourced. For the most part they lack content other than 'such and such is a neighborhood in ...'. If the areas/neighborhoods really do not have any real substance, there certainly isnt any reason to feature each and everyone in their own article. Wikipedia isnt a directory. It seems that a list of neighborhoods within the main article would suffice. However, if there is indeed relevant, sourced information for the neighborhoods it should be certainly added. --YngNorman (talk) 02:25, 27 July 2008 (UTC)

I understand what you are saying in regards to steps that can be taken to address various concerns (ie. merging articles/ deleting non-notables/ unreferenced tag definitions etc.). I attempted not to tag articles that had a link provided but I could have mistakenly done so. I have no desire for any of the articles to be deleted or merged, so I guess my true intention was to make note of the fact that the articles require content and sourced information, and highlight the need for others to actively contribute. --YngNorman (talk) 22:42, 27 July 2008 (UTC)

I've responded to your suggestion regarding the splitting of the William Burroughs article on its talk page. In brief, I'm not against the idea, but having witnessed many occasions where similar articles have had to endure AFD challenges, I'd recommend caution. RE Metrolink Classification

medium-capacity system seems to be a relatively new term, St. Louis Metrolink much more resembles a MCS than a lightrail. Metrolink uses elevated platforms and none of the line operates along surface streets like most lightrails. But since the MCS seems to be a new concept and term I agree on keeping the Metrolink page a light rail.--Bhockey10 (talk) 20:15, 18 August 2008 (UTC)

Help with creating an infobox

I am trying to create an infobox, and I am having difficulty with the process. It is very confusing. I see you have created at least one infobox, and I'm sure you may be able to help me with that.

The infobox I am trying to create would be called Infobox Bus line, and it would be used for articles on municipal, regional, or intercity bus lines. Currently, my construction of this infobox can be found at User:Sebwite/busline.

RE: MetroLink stations

I think that you don't really need to put the exact date on which it opened. If you look at my featured list nomination, List of Vancouver SkyTrain station, you'll see that I only put the year on. It's your choice, since I'm guessing you're trying to make the list into a featured list. Planet of Ixchel revision in question

Hey;)! So here's the deal: I'm sort of confused at why you deleted many of my references and citations on the page "Planet of Ixchel". If you don't mind my asking, why did you delete many of my inline citations and reference links? I checked my page history and you said "wikipedia can't use itself as a reference". You took away many of my citations to Wikipedia articles, but you left one: the Wikipedia article regarding L'Engle's book A Wrinkle in Time. Why would you take away so many and leave one? I was unaware of the fact that I couldn't use these articles as references. Could you please provide the Wikipedia page link that deters this? A few questions to think about. In the mean time, I will try to revise the article adding back links. If I shouldn't do this, I prefer to know so. I know you are active online so I will look forward to your answers. Thanks so much! Sorry to bother again, but I accidently left out my two concerns with the article. 1) The first paragraph and references mention a "virtual exhibition" that opened November 2008. 2) The images included may be copyrighted, but I am hardly an expert validator of image copyright issues. No more misunderstandings... :)

Sorry to bother you again; hopefully this will be the last time we have to play computer tag. I blanked the Planet of Ixchel and wrote a small stub on the page instead. In the history of the page it's listed under one of my edits that I explain that I will try to rewrite/ revise the article, then publish later on; I'd rather do this without constant constructive scrutiny (no offense to anyone who edited the page Planet of Ixchel). I'm going a different route with it all. In creating the stub in the place of the article, I hoped the page itself wouldn't be deleted or merged but instead "save my spot" until I start editing again. Thanks for all u did. Respected Millbrooky I am not sure whether I can write it here. I am a novice. "Karri Rama Reddy" is my first article. Having no experience with wikipedia regulations and etiquette, i might not have fulfilled the requirements resulting in your Tagging up of the article. Thank you very much for improving the article. Limca Book of Records certificate describes him as a Lawyer, doctor, computer whiz, management guru, and writer. The word "writer" could mean, in the narrow sense, as you pointed out, the qualifications like M.A.(Litt), Diploma in creative writing in English and Diploma in Functional English. However, in broader sense, the facts of his writeups as columnist could have been considered. But the columns are true as I know being the witness for more than a decade. Those are run in Telugu, an indian language. Some of the articles are available on web . To make the article foolproof, if you suggest, I"ll remove the columns paragraph. Bob F. Griffin

Hi Mill: I just started an article on former Missouri Speaker Bob F. Griffin. In doing a google I see an announcement that a Robert F. Griffin from Isle of Capris Casino is moving to head MTR Gaming. The announcement has this quote: "Mr. Griffin brings to MTR more than twenty-five years of experience in the gaming industry, most recently as Senior Vice President of Operations – Corporate for Isle of Capri Casinos Inc., where he was responsible for operations of sixteen casinos and racing facilities in the United States, Grand Bahamas and the United Kingdom." Since Capris is headquartered in St. Louis, it sure smacks of either being the speaker or perhaps his son. The time frame ironically catches the time when Griffin got in trouble for gambling ties.
