Diva Dirt - Is It Reliable?[edit]

There is a discussion currently ongoing in which we are trying to reach a consensus if Diva Dirt is reliable. You can view the discussion here. There has only been a couple of people who have responded. We need a wider input from more people. You're response is needed and appreciated. Thanks. Appreciation from a reader[edit]

Hi McPhail. I just wanted to say I've enjoyed all the Territory-era articles you've been writing. It's greatly appreciated by myself and other fans who are interested in that period of pro wrestling history. I hope you continue to make further contributions. 72.74.198.247 (talk) 03:58, 15 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the feed back - they are tricky articles to source but I am keen to help preserve the history of the territories. McPhail (talk) 21:33, 16 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi McPhail. I raised a question on Talk:The Roadblock regarding his name - I do not recall him as having been billed as The Roadblock, only simply as Roadblock. Since you are the editor who moved the article to The Roadblock in the first place, I'm requesting your input. Thanks. 184.15.250.221 (talk) 03:27, 17 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Wrestling vandal[edit]

I see you reverted my attempted clean up on the damage being done by our IP wrestling vandal. Please feel free to make corrections, its all I can to do detect this guy's presence.

I notice he like to change and rename finishing moves. I feel particularly ill equipped to know what is real and what is garbage. I don't usually revert those. Should I just send you the IP address of the day?Trackinfo (talk) 22:08, 27 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Trackinfo:: apologies, I accidentally reverted your edit while trying to revert the vandal in question's edits - I reverted myself and reinstated your fixes right away. I think if we keep requesting protection for the pages the vandal is targeting eventually they might get bored... McPhail (talk) 23:11, 27 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited King Kong Bundy, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Card (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

WP:SYNTH on Mark Jindrak[edit]

Hello, on Mark Jindrak you violated Wikipedia policy on WP:SYNTH in your edit saying he was retired using a citation that does not say explicitly that he is now retired. You also used Linkedin as a citation when it is an unreliable user-generated site (we cannot gaurantee that he is the one that edited/created the content) and used CageMatch as source for BLP information when it is only reliable for match results. Your recent editing history at Grand Slam (professional wrestling) shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Hi, McPhail. I use your talk page since I don't want to change the discussion in the Grand Slam article (we're talking about notable promotions). I want to show you some sources about ECW and LU TCC. Article for the Pro Wrestling WikiProject?[edit]

Hi McPhail. I notice you've written a few wrestling articles about the Territory-era. I posted an article on Wikipedia:Sandbox about George Cannon's "Superstars of Wrestling" program which aired in Canada and the U.S. during the 1970s. I'm not a professional writer and I'm sure it could use a bit of copyediting. Would any members of your project be interested in taking a look at it? 173.162.220.17 (talk) 18:28, 30 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

BLP and edit warring violations[edit]

When BLP content has been removed as undue emphasis, disparagement, and off-topic, you should not be re-adding that content without having secured consensus on talk. As you know there is a substantial number of editors and Admins at BLPN and AfD who have expressed concern about this article regarding BLP and misrepresentation of the actions of a non-notable individual. Please stop this behavior. I also will ask you again the question you did not reply to at BLPN: What is your interest in this incident that's led you to take such an active role in its authorship and insistent reinsertion of disputed content. For example, do you have any relationship to any person, event, or source mentioned on this WP page? SPECIFICO talk 16:48, 3 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
