Speedy deletion nomination of Emak[edit]

A tag has been placed on Emak, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Hello, Markeven. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you have an external relationship with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Emak, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Emak[edit]

Hi, thanks for message. I deleted your article because

it did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines.
it was written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic.

Examples of unsourced claims presented as fact include: ...achieve a competitive position on the international market... forming an international group thanks to the acquisition of 9 companies... Emak was the world's first company in the sector to obtain certifications
it's all about what the company sells, little about the company itself other than locations. How many employees? Turnover? Profits? *Parts of the article are to close to the text of the company website. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. That applies even to pages created by you or your organisation, unless they state clearly and explicitly that the text is public domain. There are ways to donate copyrighted text to Wikipedia, as described here; please note that simply asserting on the talk page that you are the owner of the copyright, or you have permission to use the text, isn't sufficient.

You have an obvious conflict of interest when it comes to editing articles about this subject. If, after reading the information about notability linked above, you still believe that your organisation is notable enough for a Wikipedia article (and that there is significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources), you could, if you wish, post a request at Wikipedia:Requested articles for the article to be created. I've seen worse than this, and I will post the deleted text in a user subpage for you to work on if you wish me to.
