Non-free content[edit]

Hey, I just wanted to let you know that I temporarily removed File:Official Mangospring Logo 400px.png from User:Mangospring/MangoSpring. Wikipedia's policy on non-free content is that such media aren't allowed outside of the article namespace. You are free to add the image back into the article once you move the article to the appropriate namespace; also, before moving, please ensure that MangoSpring meets the criteria for organization and company notability, and please ensure that you've disclosed any possible conflict of interest with this organization on your user or user talk pages. Thank you. --Gyrobo (talk) 22:29, 14 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the reminder. I'm new. I have consulted for MangoSpring and while writing I am constantly aware of conflict of interest while trying to diligently adhere to the non-biased and objective tone for my articles related to MangoSpring. Please provide any specific examples of how the 2 articles are biased or non-objective and I will remove or revise those sections. Also, how shall the notices on the MangoProjects article be addressed so they can be removed? MangoSpring (talk) 00:38, 15 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The main issue that I see with MangoProjects is that it does not seem to be comprehensive. Its only reference is a single press release, and it focuses exclusively on product features. The MangoSpring article doesn't appear large or unwieldy enough that a separate article for MangoProjects is needed at all. Articles about products will likely be seen as adverts if they are largely uncited and contain few to no internal links – the only link in MangoProjects within the article's prose is to MangoSpring. Terms like microblogging, Ruby on Rails, and Software as a service, should all be linked, along with products like Mozilla Firefox and BlackBerry. --Gyrobo (talk) 01:57, 15 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the guidance. I've added references and internal links. MangoSpring (talk) 21:19, 15 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Official Mangospring Logo 250px.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Official Mangospring Logo 250px.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 01:05, 15 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Official PurpleTrail Logo.png[edit]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Official PurpleTrail Logo.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 00:10, 16 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on MangoSpring requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. mabdul 18:08, 16 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

April 2012[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that the username you have chosen (Mangospring) seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of a group, company or website.

There are two issues with this:

  1. It is possible that you have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, you must exercise great caution when editing on topics related to your organization or adding links to its website.
  2. Your account cannot represent a group of people. You may wish to create a new account with a username that represents only you. Alternatively, you may consider changing your username to avoid giving the impression that your personal account is being used for promotional purposes.

Regardless of whether you change your name or create a new account, you are not exempted from the guidelines concerning editing where you have a conflict of interest. For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. The article in question is MangoSpring. Thank you. mabdul 18:09, 16 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only you. You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose. If your username doesn't represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. Thank you. A tag has been placed on MangoApps, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". A tag has been placed on MangoProjects, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay.
