Maqam Sitt Sukayna

Hi again!

...I'm presently working on an article on Maqam Sitt Sukayna...I have a small problem: one ref. (van Kasteren, 1889, p. 130) gives the ref. Jacut III, p. 512f. I wondered..is that Yaqut al-Hamawi, 1868 III, p. 512ff? Could you please check that page and see if it says anything about the lady in question? Huldra (talk) 20:52, 25 March 2018 (UTC)

@Huldra: Quoting from last sentence: "in the area of Tiberias is the shrine of Sukayna and the truth is that the shrine is in the city, and in it is Abdullah bin Al-Abbas bin Al-Hussein bin Abi Talib's tomb." Really old Arabic that doesn't really make sense today so I translated it literally, no clue what was meant by "the truth" part. I think your draft is lacking information on how this Islamic site was Judaized and the possible controversies surrounding that? Makeandtoss (talk) 19:03, 26 March 2018 (UTC)
Thanks!...at least I got the right book/page. And yes: I have just started the draft.....lots and lots of stuff is still missing (feel free to add, if you like!) Cheers, Huldra (talk) 20:01, 26 March 2018 (UTC)
Also, the shrine is supposed to have been mentioned by Ali ibn abi bakr al-Harawi (mentioned by Jacobs) ..unfortunately I dont have the ref. for that. Since al-Harawi died long before the inscription texts, that would be interesting to add, Huldra (talk) 20:13, 26 March 2018 (UTC)
@Huldra: This Arabic source mentions so. Referenced it [1] Makeandtoss (talk) 20:38, 26 March 2018 (UTC)
Ok, thanks, I have added it under External links, Huldra (talk) 20:41, 26 March 2018 (UTC)
PS the article in Hebrew is also interesting (from what I understand through translate.google..) Huldra (talk) 20:44, 26 March 2018 (UTC)
@Huldra: Tell me if you need anything else. Makeandtoss (talk) 09:57, 31 March 2018 (UTC)

Your AE request

@Alex Shih: and why is that? The US has vetoed over 43 UNSC resolutions on the conflict and has recently moved its embassy to Jerusalem-in defiance of international law. The US is as relevant to the conflict as Jordan is, and to have a double standard on the same criteria is very illogical to me. Makeandtoss (talk) 16:27, 28 May 2018 (UTC)
Sorry, I accidentally pressed "enter" in my previous post. Since you have responded already, I will continue with my comments. It may seem illogical to you, but you may want to read WP:POINT; an article about US involvement in Arab–Israeli conflict will certainly fall under the scope of WP:ARBPIA3 (such as United States recognition of Jerusalem as capital of Israel, which is currently under this page restriction), but your argument on equating United States to Jordan is an example of false equivalence and will unlikely gain any support. From an objective perspective, Jordan is a member of the Arab League and a belligerent in the Arab–Israeli conflict, so it is not unreasonable to place Jordan within the scope of WP:ARBPIA3; however, I think encouraging a careful reading of the current Jordan article instead of making pointy analogies would strengthen the argument that you are presenting.
