Thank you very much for your input, message and the barnstar – much appreciated! I've now emailed David Holah with a request to contribute a logo and image/s to the page. You never know. Best wishes. Libby norman (talk) 15:13, 4 February 2014 (UTC)

Harsh

I have to say to call my edit "idiotic" wasn't very civil. After all, I was voicing that I believe true ball gowns were not invented until Christian Dior's "New Look" and evening gowns were worn since the 19th-century onward. --142.177.24.239 (talk) 18:39, 11 February 2014 (UTC)

I apologise for that. I had rewritten the edit summary, but to my dismay discovered it had already posted/gone through whilst I was rewriting the edit summary. Mabalu (talk) 01:27, 12 February 2014 (UTC)
Incidentally, a few resources you may do well to be aware of: The Dictionary of Fashion History and The Berg Companion of Fashion. These two books, and many others, support that the ballgown existed over 100 years before Dior. Mabalu (talk) 01:30, 12 February 2014 (UTC)
Also - 142.177.24.239 - please add references to your work to support and verify your claims. Otherwise it looks like original research which is not admissible. Mabalu (talk) 01:34, 12 February 2014 (UTC)

Sorry

Sorry that my syncing of the talk page with the article made your initial comment confusing! [1]. I should have notified you. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 14:44, 26 February 2014 (UTC)
